Like all Subaru WRX models, the 2022+ will have a hood scoop to send as much cool as possible to the top mount intercooler. The problem is that depending on your driving habits whether that be commuting hundreds of miles per day or spending weekends on the race track, debris can get through your scoop or beneath the engine and to the top surface of your intercooler. If it's built-up dirt pebbles or bent fins, this will eventually inhibit the flow of your intercooler which can accelerate the chances of heat soak. The SMY Intercooler Protection Cover will add more style to your engine bay while adding more protection to your intercooler.
