BUILT FOR GREATER STRENGTH
The IAG 600 Short Block is meticulously crafted for both stock and modified FA20 Subaru BRZs seeking a more robust foundation to withstand increased cylinder pressures resulting from modifications or aftermarket turbo kits. Featuring IAG Spec H-Beam forged connecting rods, this short block guarantees enhanced durability and resilience. With upgraded connecting rods and race bearings, it adeptly supports additional engine load generated by aftermarket turbochargers or heightened boost levels, surpassing the reliability of OEM rods and pistons typically found in stock short blocks.

CRAFTED WITH ALL-NEW COMPONENTS
Each IAG 600 Short Block is meticulously crafted from start to finish, beginning with pristine FA20 BRZ/FT86 2.0L, 86mm stock bore engine case halves as the standard foundation. These case halves undergo careful boring and honing to 86.1mm specifications before being precisely measured and assembled with a new 2015+ Subaru 2.0L FA20 crankshaft, expertly matched with ACL or King race main bearings. Featuring IAG Spec H-Beam Connecting Rods with ARP2000 rod bolts, paired with ACL or King race rod bearings, the short block ensures optimal performance. To seal the case halves securely, new OEM main case bolts and sealant are applied. Finally, meticulously selected and measured IAG Spec JE FSR 86.1mm Forged Pistons are installed to complete the assembly, ensuring durability and reliability.
IMPROVED OIL CIRCULATION FOR ENHANCED LUBRICATION
Adequate oil flow is essential for optimal performance and reliability. Recognizing the limitations of Subaru's OEM cases in this regard, our skilled machinists meticulously examine and enhance the internal oil passages of each new OEM case utilized in the construction of the IAG 600 Short Block. Through careful modification, we ensure proper oil flow and reliability, addressing any deficiencies in the original design to guarantee superior lubrication throughout the engine.
FORGED PISTONS, DESIGNED FOR BOOST
Each IAG 600 Short Block features IAG Spec JE FSR 86.1mm Forged Pistons. These 2618 T6 Alloy high-strength pistons have been specifically designed to support increased cylinder pressures which come with more boost. FSR forgings reduce mass and wear caused by friction without sacrificing strength. This is accomplished by using an asymmetrical skirt design instead of the traditional full-round skirt, also this reduces weight significantly. Featuring smooth flowing radii on the domes and dishes, the design promotes excellent flame travel. The pistons are secured to the rods with .905 x 2.250" x .150" wall carbon steel wrist pins with Tru Arc locks. Note this block features standard 12.5:1 compression ratio which is ideal for low boost or stock applications.
