Air/oil separators are a common upgrade and modification for the Subaru EJ as harmful oil vapors like to make their way into the intake which can create many problems. This will coat the valves with oil and soot, your octane rating will be effective and you will have detonation issues as well. 

The Killer B Motorsport Air/Oil Separator is the result of years worth of engineering, along with research and development to remove oil in liquid and vapor form from the vented crankcase gases. This will prolong the performance and the life of your engine to reassure that your engine is performing at peak levels without worrying about the prevalent air/oil separation issues found in the Subaru crankcase ventilation system.
