This is the PTP Large Turbocharger Blanket. These have been intended to use on larger Borg Warner EFR type turbochargers, and they can work with other turbochargers similar in size.

This particular turbo blanket features an outer layer made from pulverized volcanic lava rock that has been formed into the fabric before getting woven into a tight mesh weave. This greatly helps with reducing underhood temperatures as heat generated from your turbocharger can create heat soak for those of you with models that have a top mount intercooler. And they are perfect for those of you who don't have vents designed in the hood.

When you can keep the heat contained within the turbocharger, then you can improve the efficiency of the turbocharger and the surrounding components will be protected from the heat which will also result in cooler air charge temperatures.

This blanket is suited for Borg Warner EFR 7670 turbos with internal wastegate and bigger.
