First, I was a little hesitant about installing the brushings. So I did some research just to make sure that I won't miss any tips for the install. I'm glad that I did. The real important part of the install is to mark the spot where the steering column is. After following that step, the install was easy, especially when you have an impact wrench to assist you with the removal some of the stubborn bolts. For me l can feel the difference when turning corners. This is a mod everyone should do.
I had kind of a custom application of these parts installing a newer STi rack on a forester subframe, so I only ended up using one side of this kit. Install for this is very easy with the removal tool included in the kit and the slide in new bushings. A must have on any older Subaru to improve steering feel.
i had these professionally installed during a steering rack replacement. my steering has a ton of feedback already because of a locking front diff. feel is very slightly improved for me and NVH is slightly increased as well. quality product. would recomend
took about 2 hours to install, instructions were vague but do-able. i did not mark the steering column and it was a pain re-aligning everything back together. overall performance is noticeable but slight.
Install was a couple hours and straightforward. Make sure you mark on the steering column where you disconnected it otherwise the wheel will be off center.

Q: Which bushings Apatten9311 years ago
I have an 02 WRX with a 05 STi steering rack installed. Would I use the 05-07 STi set or the 02-04 WRX/Sti set? Thanks!

A: I do believe the bushings will be based on the rack and not the car itself so the 05-07 STi kit should be what you need. I would suggest comparing the bushings on your rack next time you are underneath your car to the ones we have pictured to be sure. Thank you.

A: No, I would not purchase both of them. The correct one for the 2004 WRX is the WHI KSR202.

A: As of this time (April, 2011) Whiteline has only confirmed fitment on the 2005-2007 WRX/STI. So these will not work on your 2.5i. The most up to date fitment information can be seen by viewing the 'Confirmed Applications' area on the product page. Thank you.
