This is the Whiteline Gearbox Positive Shift Kit. This kit includes a set of durable urethane bushings that are replacements for the factory soft rubber bushings that eventually become weak. The Whiteline bushings will ultimately reduce the amount of flex in the transmission support and will be placed in the lateral, and the horizontal support of the transmission.

Installed with a group N trans mount. Helped remove the slack and made for more reliable accurate shift. Reduced some bucking I know have diff carrier, diff bushing, pitchstop, driveshaft bushings and the two stated above. All the parts complement each other for ultimate feel and performance.
So I installed these with the Whiteline Positive Traction Kit, Rear Diff Inserts, Gearbox Positive Shift Kit and Whiteline Front and Rear Shifter Bushings. Shifter slop was about 95% eliminated and shifts are now very very solid, notchy and a tad bit stiffer making it so much more satisfying to bang gears. Installing these increased the NVH by a considerable bit, you feel a bit more vibration especially during startup and the gearbox now sounds a bit like a straight cut/dogbox transmission with audible the whine in 1st to 4th gear which I personally love. The rear end also feels much more planted and willing to turn in during corner entry while also feeling more responsive and cooperative. In daily use on rough roads, it hasn't increased the ride stiffness by a noticeable amount to me and I can gladly live with it as a daily despite the harsh roads here. These were a breeze to install while the trans mount were off.
Very easy install. I did notice that shifting along with acceleration was slightly improved. I believe this mod is worth the money. Plus the stock bushings are garbage. Huge step up with these.
I installed these with the IAG street trans mount.... these two together are easiest things to install for the biggest feel change for your car.
It didn't fit the transmission mount pilot holes, decided wasn't worth it if it slips out of place so I bailed.

A: Hi JW1, The grease included with this kit should be applied to any surface of the bushing that will be in contact with the sub-frame or mount (IE; generally the top and bottom) to prevent any noises when the transmission shifts side to side. We have been unable to personally confirm fitment of this kit on a 2016 model STI.

A: These bushings are confirmed to fit 2012-2014 Impreza Sport and Base models, and they should also fit the Crosstrek, but we cannot guarantee fitment at this time.
