Q: CR Kai or CR Ultimate (Kiwami)? Tim L.3 years ago
I was wondering if these are the CR Kai or the CR Ultimate (Kiwami)? They are 2 different wheels (as someone stated in another response). I do not want the CR Kai as it is a lighter bronze. I want the Kiwami. If these are the CR Kai, could you please update your website? If they are the CR Ultimate (Kiwami) could you please update your website? Im going to be purchasing the CR Ultimate (Kiwami) this spring and I do not want to purchase the wrong one. Thank you!

A: The WORK Emotion CR Kai is a discontinued model and no longer in production or available. The part number listed on this item is WCK189538YAHG and would be the "Emotion CR Kiwami 18x9.5 +38 5x114.3 (AHG) Matte Bronze." The Emotion CR Kiwami we also nicknamed as the "CR Ultimate" at the time of its release for ease of language for the US market. We are unable to revise this listing on this item but will advise Rally Sport Direct to update.

A: Yes, the Emotion CR Kiwami in 18x9.5 +38 will clear OEM Brembo brakes on the 2008-2014 Subaru STI. It would not require spacers. The fitment, however, is slightly aggressive and may require adjustment/modification to fit.

A: The Kiwami is a newer take on the Kai design. They look almost identical, though. The main differences are the Kiwami is lighter and stronger due to an updated manufacturing process. The concave of the spokes on the Kiwami is a bit more aggressive as well. For example, 18x9.5 at 38 offset in the Kai will not clear the front OEM Brembos on an STI (not sure about '15-'20) while the Kiwamis do clear the calipers. See pic: left: Kai. right: Kiwami
