    Nice Pump 6 years ago

Seems to be a good pump definitely better than the one that was in there. Fitment was exact which made it tricky to line up but once I did it went right in. The gasket seems flimsy but it must work as I have had no leaks for the three months it's been in.

Good replacement for water pump! Only reason for 4 Stars is cheap paper gasket. Everything else was good!

    QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

    • Q: Replacing OEM water pump  loucks895 years ago

My OEM Waterpump is starting to head out the door, at 200k miles this is no news to me, but would you advise buying this Waterpump over buying another OEM from a dealer? My car is lightly modified, by that I mean, intake, cat-back exhaust, a mild tune, and a turbo timer, and I would very much prefer to see the car reach 300k miles.
      • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  I would recommend running the Gates waterpump and currently run one on my personal vehicle. When I compared the OEM and the Gates side by side, it was difficult to tell them apart. While you are changing out the water pump you may also want to look at changing the timing belt and pulleys to help prolong the life of your motor. :)

    • Q: This vs. OEM  gdnorm6 years ago

how does it compare to the OEM unit? Would you suggest sticking with the paper gaskets or get something else?
      • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  These are built to OEM spec and standards. As for gasket you can use the included one or a OEM unit.
