  • Q: Vacuum Line Size?  JK28 days ago

What size mm vacuum line does this wastegate use? I currently have a Cobb ebcs and want to make sure before purchasing.
  • Q: Springs  JCL12 months ago

So this unit comes with a 14 psi spring, I would like to add 5 more psi to this, would I need to buy an inner 5 psi spring? Could you direct me to which part I would need to purchase?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This wastegate comes with a 7psi inner spring and a 7 psi outer spring to make 14 psi. The closest that you could get to running 19 psi would be by using the 10 psi outer spring with a 7 psi inner spring to make 17 psi.

  • Q: Installation hardware   Kevin_sti1 year ago

If I have the tomei unequal headers with the charge pipe it comes with. Will I need to purchase other hardware to make sure this wastegate fits?

A:  You will need to have an up pipe with a flange that will work with a 40MM waste gate.

  • Q: Grimmspeed EWG  korinthia3 years ago

When I tried to install this with my GS 38mm EWG uppipe it was very very difficult, I assume I was doing it wrong perhaps. The clamp did not want to go around either of the flanges with the inside ring installed. I even used a C clamp to try to compress the clamp around the two and while it got tight it wouldnt close down far enough to get the bolt through. What am I doing wrong?

A:  Due to variables affecting fitment, it is best to contact our customer service department for help with the installation.

  • Q: To be clear  cmac4 years ago

The spring pressure is irrelevant when it comes to tuning? As long as I have an EBCS correct? (Which i do by the way)
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  No. The spring pressure sets the minimum (lowest) boost you could make.

  • Q: what spring?  badfishbush13568275 years ago

if im putting this on a 08 sti stock turbo grimmspeed up pipe what psi spring would I need? 14 or 7? I have turbo back exhaust, cobb intake, and access port if that makes a difference.

A:  The spring choice will depend on how much boost you want to run and what you are using to control the boost. If you want to use only the wastegate and spring to set the pressure, then you will want to choose the spring for the pressure you want. You can use a boost control solenoid to raise the pressure higher than the spring is rated and that is what most people do.
