RallySport Direct is proud to carry the GSC Power-Division Beehive Springs which are the result of some of the most advanced manufacturing techniques in the industry. GSC uses an ovate wire which utilizes advanced material heat treatment methods for superior load loss capabilities. This provides the spring with the highest level of spring load retention while still maintaining good fatigue for the life of the spring. 

The Beehive spring has been designed to be more stable than standard single or dual cylindrical springs. The smaller and lighter retainer used on the beehive valve spring allows for higher RPM and more valve control.

    I have a stock-cammed, mildly build motor. I was looking for a better valve spring for higher RPM track driving. I paired these with GSC Valves and a 5-angle grind. What I notice is how the car likes revving. It feels like it revs freely and pulls with ease to the redline. I think of the motor as ferrari-esque, meaning it feels effortless rolling along at 5000 RPM. I notice a little more valve train noise at idle, but that would expected with a stiffer spring. I would get the beehive over the standard for the added high rpm abilities, even if you leave your redline set near stock.

        A:  The valve springs and retainers are not related by how much "boost" they can handle. If it helps this kit is capable of 9500+ RPMS

      I'm currently in the process of designing a very high revving boxer. I have yet to be able to find a valve train set-up capable of handling a 12k redline. I will be running a very destroked ej257 block and I'm curious as to whether or not these would be capable of handling that or if you had or know of anything that can

        A:  We would need more information on the head setup to give you an answer to this question. Given the desired 12k RPM limit we would need to know the acceleration and jerk of the lobe profile that you select. The weight of the valves you will be using along with the thickness of the valve tappet and boost pressure.
