This isn't the most boost happy turbo but it creates very usable power. Peak torque for me comes in at around 5600 rpm & 20psi. The turbo does seem to be able to boost up to about 27PSI but I think anything above 25 is out of its efficiency rage. It wont out gun any rotated setup but will do just fine at about everything else. Worth every penny.
Installed a '07 STI. This turbo is definitely pretty to look at. This turbo might not be as big as some of the others on the market, but for the price per performance. It's pretty good. I'm happy with this turbo and I’ve been running it for 4 months now. Here are the numbers from this turbo: HP=338 and TQ=325. I've upgraded everything externally and the internals are still stock. I live at a elevation of 4400 ft and with 91 octane. My tune was a little conservative and down the road I will rebuild the motor to get more out of the turbo.
So after having this turbo installed for about 2years, I haven’t gotten the chance to boost the car because I was untuned the whole time. I finally got tuned and here is what I got. On the dyno we discovered that my EBCS (turbosmart e-boost street) was seized after not boosting for couple years. We could only push it at max boost 16psi results: 355whp 338tq. Now as stated in the title, I picked up a Hallman manual and installed that the same night, went out on the street with my tuner and pushed it up to 21psi, we didn’t get a direct number on the street but DrunkMan laughed and guaranteed it is now over 400whp for sure. I noticed that RallySportDirect *HPrating* is at the crank (450hp) so roughly 350-360whp. But with supporting mods: 850cc injectors, deatchwerks 300 320lph fuel pump, agency power EL headers, Invidia turbo back, Perrin cold air Big Maf intake, Perrin 3” silicone inlet, cosworth head studs, 100mm Pistons, eagle rods, ACL race rod/main bearings, Spearco TMIC, exedy pressure plate, ACT 6puck disc, and as well as methanol this turbo can surpass 400whp. Over all this turbo is still a bit “punchy” as it is not a really big turbo it does not have a completely horrible boost lag. Full boost comes on at about 3700-3800 not at 4K light it is stated on the Tomei website. I’m sure others with bigger supporting mods and maybe higher boost are pushing it waaay pass 400whp
Beautiful turbo and quick and easy install. I have this on my EJ207 V7 w/ the Tomei headers, Up-pipe and cat back exhaust along with DW 1000cc injectors and the ETS FMIC. Without hesitation the car put down 425hp/385tq on 25lbs consistently and we took it much much higher. Keep in mind the power band is higher more of a higher mid/top end range. Being i have the FMIC i do get a tad bit of lag pending driving condition, however when this turbo starts to spool you will know and for sure hear it. Definitely would recommend but as always, check with your tuner first! Haha
Fits better then the stock turbo! Installing was very easy, everything fits so perfectly and sounds like a beast! Made very good numbers and highly recommend.

A: This will work with the Tomei inlet. Their inlet comes with several adapters to fit their ARMS series, as well as OEM inlet sized turbos.

A: This would be better suited towards the 2.5L models, it could be a bit laggy on the 2.0L. It also might be a bit on the high side for stock internals. For your application, a 16G-18G, or possibly a Tomei 7760 would work best.
