Very Happy Customer

Upgraded my 2008 WRX. I have to say, I'm a very happy customer. I can tell that I've lost some low end power, but after 3000 rpms, it's no contest. Wish I had done it sooner.

Great spool up
Uriel.Engle 6 years ago
I installed this to replace my VF40 turbo on my 05 outback XT... it was straight forward as expected. The change in wastegate orientation required some trimming of the heat shield. A quick retune due to differing turbo spool and a new boost control and up-pipe got me back up and running quick. I did some quick dyno pulls and was able to pull similar numbers at 10.5lbs of boost on the VF52 as when I ran 14lbs of boost on my VF40. I will turn it back up when I have more time to tune and get new injectors and fuel pump.

  • Q: Help trying to figure out turbos  Subaruuu 2 months ago

    Answer

Would a VF52 TURBO fit on my 09 stock Wrx and would I need a retune

    • A: 2008-2014 WRX models have a different turbo flange design and would require a few different modifications in order to bolt a VF style turbo . Also, tuning would be required whenever changing the turbo.

  • Q: 2013 Subaru WRX STI  2013SUBBIE 3 months ago

    Answer

Will this fit (and work) without modification on my stock 2013 Subaru WRX STI?

    • A: This would not be the turbo for your application. The part number for your vehicle would be 14411AA700!

    Answer

I have a 2006 FXT with a VF39 running 16lbs of boost. Will this turbo be a good replacement for my current setup?

    • A: This will be a great replacement for your 06 FXT.

  • Q: Turbo replacement  Logan 7 months ago

    Answer

Would this be a direct bolt on swap for the VF47 on the 2008 Impreza S-GT 2.0? and would I need to tune the vehicle afterwards?

    • A: Unfortunately, we can only confirm this on USDM vehicles and are unable to confirm anything other than what Subaru lists for turbo fitment.

    Answer

does this come with the 09 restrictor pill for install on an 08?

    • A: This should have the boost pill in the vacuum lines going to the Internal Wastegate.
