2004 Wrx Sti Cobb TD05H-20G Part# COB E1120G 8 months ago
5out of 5stars

This is a fantastic replacement turbo and I am confirming that it does provide oem fit to my 2004 Subaru Wrx Sti everything bolted up correctly and included everything for the install easy plug and play turbo. Overall, the 20G looks well put together from the outside, there is a lot of rough textured areas within the turbo that could have been smoothed out by the manufacturer. For the price it's the "best bang for the buck" saying that has been used more times than a bottle of hand sanitizer at the doctors office. Furthermore, RSD actually called me to notify me that it may or may not fit my vehicle which was kind of them thank you Joshua and Riley for giving me a heads up, but I knew it would fit perfectly fine and it's difficult to find wonder service like the fellas at RSD gave me, I look forward to more business with you guys cheers.

5out of 5stars

From stg2 e54 setup, adding the cobb 20g @20psi w/retune my car gained a solid 48whp & and 56wtq. Almost at 400whp. Pulls very strong up top and doesn't drop off or get choked up like the stock vf52. Great turbo for the price & for a goal of 420whp or less.

2007 WRX 2 years ago
5out of 5stars

I bought this turbo from a shop down the street because I needed it fast but it is a fantastic turbo! I have a 2007 WRX turbo back exhaust, up pipe, walbro 255 fuel pump, intake, STI tmic amd a few other things. I am on stock Injectors making 338 whp 336 wtq at 16 lbs of boost. I recomend this turbo to anyone looking for an upgrade or just a little more power. Install was smooth and had no problems! When I was on my stock turbo (td04) I made 217 whp 325 wtq. The blue lines are the stock turbo and the red is this lovely Cobb 20g

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

  • Q: 2004 WRX Wagon?  Epicblazer3 months ago

Would this fit on a base 2004 wrx wagon? I know it says it doesn't fit, but I heard it might. Would anyone know?
  • Q: what it fit  soy2314 months ago

would this in a 2009 Subaru legacy gt ?
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This would require modifications to intercooler piping/y-pipe to fit on a Legacy GT, since it has a flange style turbo setup from the factory, and would not be a direct bolt on.

  • Q: Who does the manufacturing?  Rick5 months ago

Any idea who actually manufacturers these turbos for COBB? I've been debating between COBB and Blouch for a 20g but looking to do a little more research. Thanks!
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Cobb has created their own specifications for this turbo. Both the Cobb TD05H-20G and the Blouch TD05-20G will be great turbos.

  • Q: PSI Limit  22_STI_Tbriggs6 months ago

What is the PSI Limit of this Turbo?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The boost pressure this turbo will run depends on your setup and tune. There isn't necessarily a maximum PSI that it can run, but 20G turbos tend to be most efficient anywhere from 18-23 psi. Although stock VF turbos can run near this pressure range, this turbo will flow more air at the same boost pressure.

  • Q: Wastegate bracket   super_browny690919 months ago

If I wanted to switch to an external wastegate setup after having this turbo installed, is there a particular wastegate bracket that this turbo requires to keep the internal wastegate shut? I see that most ones offered are for stock turbos.
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Cobb offers a universal bracket that should work for this one, it's confirmed for several other 20G's and is adjustable: https://www.rallysportdirect.com/part/wastegate-brackets/cob-512273-cobb-tuning-adjustable-turbo-wastegate-bracket
