Description

When it comes to aftermarket turbochargers for this particular platform, Blouch Performance Turbo is among one of the more popular choices among enthusiasts because they are built using careful manufacturing methods to produce a more powerful direct bolt-in option. On this page, you are looking at their TD05H-18GXT 8cm2 turbocharger.

Investing in a larger turbo as well as supporting mods is one of the best power upgrades you could buy. Blouch is the leader in turbo development, they consistently build the best turbos. The new XT-R line of turbos from them consist of a billet compressor wheel to optimize the aerodynamics of a turbo and increase compressor flow within the same inducer geometry. Which allows you to build more horsepower at lower boost pressure.

It also consists of a 43 lb/min fully machined billet compressor wheel, a high-efficiency Garrett GT turbine wheel, Garrett GT full ball bearing system, and an 8cm2 bolt on turbine housing.

This turbocharger will come with coolant and oil drain pipes already installed, and it will come with a stainless steel oil feed line, as well as a new up pipe and downpipe gasket to make it ready for the installation.

  • Q: Turbo Comparison  Nate888 7 months ago

    Answer

What would the difference be between this turbo & the normal XT version with the same size rear?

    • A: The 18G XT-R will be a ball bearing turbo while the 18G XT will use a journal bearing.

  • Q: Is this turbo too big for an 2.0L EJ motor?  stmphang01497 2 years ago

    Answer

For good streetable power, is this too big for the EJ205? My motor is at 132K miles but in good shape. My plan was to buy a turbo that would work for the 2.0L and for a future 2.5L. Would like fast spooling so will tune for it but with 2.0L how much worse than stock will it be? What is your

    • A: This turbo will be a definite increase for your 2.0L motor. It will spool fairly quick and offer great power gains. This turbo would also be an upgrade for the stock 2.5L turbo as well.

  • Q: 18GXT-R or 20GXT-R?  Dana 2 years ago

    Answer

Hello, so I have a 2011 STI with the current mods of: AEM CAI, Cobb downpipe, TIAL MV-R 44mm EWG, Grimmspeed 3 port boost solenoid, Cobb 1000cc fuel injectors, and AEM 320lph fuel pump on an E85 tune. So I am currently looking at purchasing a Grimmspeed TMIC and the up pipe with the dump tube. Would you recommend the 18G or the 20G and also would you recommend the 8cm or 10cm? Last would this be comparable with the up pipe and the EWG? With my current tune my car is sitting at 300WHP and 350WTQ. My goal is to get my car around 350WHP and whatever I can get for WTQ. Which turbo would you recommend?

    • A: We would recommend either the 18G with the 10CM housing or the 20G with the 8CM housing.

I have a COBB downpipe and I was wondering if this fits perfectly or do I need to buy any adapters/hardware?

    • A: They will be compatible with each other. No adapters should be needed.
