  • Q: Power   _Jesse_10 days ago

How much hp gain would be expected? At 18 psi would this be safe on a stock block ej255 or what is suggested to make it safe on the stock block for a ej255
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  It depends on mods and the tune, but the turbo is capable of about 340 WHP on an aggressive tune with supporting mods. And yeah 18psi should not be a problem at all on this turbo. Hope this helps! Thanks.

  • Q: Blouch TD05H-16GXT 7cm^2 Turbo  Kareem1 month ago

The details on this turbo indicate that the standard wastegate actuator is calibrated at 18 psi. Is it possible to get one with it callibrated less than 18psi?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  No unfortunately not, you would have to go with an adjustable wastegate actuator, use/adapt a stock one, or move over to an external gate. Thanks!

  • Q: Turbo  ea10 months ago

hello, i just recently bought my TDO5 turbo for my 06 wrx limited. should I upgrade anything when replacing my stock turbo to this one?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  You'll want to upgrade your fuel pump, fuel injectors, downpipe, and have a custom tune done at a minimum. Other supporting mods will help you get the most out of this turbo as well.

  • Q: Will it work   JP_727612 months ago

Will this turbo work with a 2005 WRX wagon and what would need to be done besides exhaust to reach 350-400 horsepower
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  At a minimum, you'll want an upgraded exhaust, fuel injectors, fuel pump, intake, and a tune with this turbo. A solid tune will get you near the 350 crank horsepower range, but for 350whp, you'll want to go for a different turbo.

  • Q: Can I install without a dunk tune?   JoeyV1 year ago

Hi, I ordered this turbo about a month ago and haven’t installed it yet. I have a 2005 Forester XT and am using a Cobb stage 3 map with all support mods. My VF-39 went out and I plan on using this in its place. Am I able to install this turbo in the place of the VF-39 without having any potential problems,?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This will require a custom street or dyno tune, running it without one would run the risk of damaging the engine.

  • Q: Injectors  Jeff341 year ago

Will this turbo require bigger injectors than stock injectors?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Yes, you will need to upgrade from your stock fuel injectors after any turbo upgrade. Depending on your power goals, the fuel injector size will vary.. So, we recommend contacting our Customer Service Team to determine which size of fuel injectors would be best based off of your power goals.

Wondering if this is a smart choice to replace my stock turbo with on my 04' STI, Motor was recently Rebuilt with stronger internals but no bore, Everything else is stock, only thing is a catless downpipe. Planning on running a pound or 2 more of boost. Is this Realistic on this little guy?
    • 2 of 2 people found the following answer helpful

05 fxt... What size injectors and fuel pump needed.
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  It would depend on the fuel you were running. On pump gas, you'd want something around 750cc-1000cc injectors with a 200-255 LPH fuel pump for this turbo.

What up pipe flange does this bolt to? It looks like a 3 bolt but most up pipes I see plus the stock one are 4 or 5 bolt or something....
  • Q: Break in period  Sensiman842 years ago

Is there any kind of recommended break in period for this turbo? I know new STI's come with a 1000 miles break in before exceeding a certain RPM limit, just curious if the same is true for this turbo or if it needs any type of priming.
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The turbo will need to be primed before install, not doing so can do serious damage to the bearings. According to Blouch, it does not require any other additional break in procedure.

  • Q: 04 WRX Application  Sensiman842 years ago

I want to run this on my 04 WRX, I have a stock STI TMIC, pink STI injectors and a 255 fuel pump. Will that be enough fuel or are 1000cc injectors recommended?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  You would be really stretching what the STi pinks are capable of handling with this turbo. I would recommend at least 750cc injectors, or 1000cc if you plan on running E85.

  • Q: Headers?  Adrian982 years ago

I have a catless down pipe and a Xs power exhaust but would I need to buy aftermarket headers and a up pipe as well or stock okay? (02 wrx)
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  With any turbo upgrade we always recommend upgraded the full exhaust system (Up Pipe, Downpipe, and Catback Exhaust). As this will ensure you are getting the best flow throughout the system, Where with the stock exhaust being 2.5" diameter it will come some restriction in flow reducing maximum HP gains.

  • Q: turbo replacement  helwigc23 years ago

I have a 2008 outback XT limited and I have to replace the turbo. What would you recommend for a replacement turbo and I dont really want to upgrade my fuel system. I do plan to get it tuned once the turbo is replaced. Thanks in advance for your help
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  A traditional Subaru turbo like this one wont be a direct fit on your outback. While there is only a couple options we stock as a direct drop in, supporting modifications like fuel and exhaust would be highly recommended and tuning would be required. If you need further assistance, please contact a customer service representative for more details.

Will this turbo work for the Cobb stage 3 FP16G 93 MTv300 shelf tune?

A:  The Cobb stage 3 FP16G 93 MTv300 shelf tune is only confirmed to work with the Forced Performance 16G TD05H turbo. It would be best for you to consult your local tuner for a pro tune if you plan on running this turbo.

  • Q: Replacement turbo  jt4 years ago

My turbo on my 04 Forester XT AT needs replacement. I have owned since new and it has about 160000 miles on it. Will this Blouch TD05H-16GXT be a straight bolt on? Will it require a new down pipe and bigger injectors? Will remapping/tuning be required? How much of the tuning could be done with a COBB AccessPoint? Thanks much!!
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This will bolt right on. However, it will require an aftermarket downpipe and a custom tune at a minimum. The Accessport will not have the proper map for this turbo.

so I just purchased my first Subaru, it's an 05 forester xt (auto), and I was wondering (besides injectors) would I need any other supporting mods for this turbo? also would it just bolt onto the stock setup and would the automatic be able to handle the added power?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Fuel Injectors, fuel pump, upgraded intercooler, upgraded intake and exhaust system, and a solid pro tune. This is an OEM location turbo and the automatic transmission should be able to handle the added power from this 16g.
