When it comes to aftermarket turbochargers for this particular platform, Blouch Performance Turbo is among one of the more popular choices among enthusiasts because they are built using careful manufacturing methods to produce a more powerful direct bolt-in option. On this page, you are looking at their Dominator 3.0 XT-R 8cm2 Turbocharger.

Investing in a larger turbo as well as supporting mods is one of the best power upgrades you could buy. Blouch is the leader in turbo development; they consistently build the best turbos. The new XT-R line of turbos from Blouch consists of a billet compressor wheel to optimize the aerodynamics of a turbo and increase compressor flow within the same inducer geometry.

This allows you to build more horsepower at lower boost pressure and is rated to make up to 550 crank horsepower. 

It also consists of a 55 lb/min fully machined billet compressor wheel, a high-efficiency Garrett GT turbine wheel, Garrett GT full ball bearing system, adjustable upgrade wastegate actuator calibrated at 15 PSI and with their tried and true 8cm2 bolt on turbine housing.

Included with this turbocharger will be the coolant and oil drain pipes, along with a stainless steel oil feed line along with new gaskets and hardware to make this turbocharger ready for the installation.

Dyno numbers a 392whp/431tq at 22lb of boost Gas - 94 water/Meth injection - small nozzle Spool up is pretty quick , im hitting full boost at about 3400rpm ----------------- Acording to my tuner Seems like my TMIC become a bottleneck i have a stock STI TMIC Overall - very happy with that turbo

i haven't had the chance of running the turbo yet but i thought id post this before i forgot. i put the turbo on and at first it wasnting going to to able to fit the intake plumbing on due to the fact that the turbo was directly behind the TGV Assembly. so i kinda panicked and started making phone calls and emailing to sort of the issue. what i found out just looking things over was nothing big but if your not aware of it this (mis-lining up) will happen to you. Anyways the Bolts on your down pipe-header are a little bit smaller than the holes on the down pipe/header it self. not a whole lot but at the top end of the pipe where your turbo is this means it can shift side to side almost a good 2 1/2. when when you install this pipe make sure to keep it tight towards the engine as you tighten the bolts up and things will line up nicely. just a little quick fix i had i thought id share.

    Will the spool up time for this turbo be alot slower compared to the dom 1.5xtr?? Also how much whp can I expect from this turbo on 91 octane with supporting mods???

      A:  Yes this turbo will spool slower than a Dom1.5 as it is a bigger turbo. You might want to speak to a tuner to get an accurate measurement for Hp, as it would depend on what car you are driving.

    I have a fmic ets, upgrade fuel system 1000cc, 272 bc cams, stage 4 clutch, built internal, full exhaust upgraded would this turbo easily get me 450 whp?

      A:  This turbo is rated for approximately 410-440whp on pump gas depending on the tune, and you may be able to get 450whp on pump gas, but it may add extra stress to the turbo.

    Would this fit amr inlet hose?

      A:  The AMR is a hard piping inlet which includes both a stock size inlet reducer and a 3 inlet. This turbocharger will work with AMR's hard piping inlet but that inlet does require TGV deletes.

    Im trying to decide right now between the 3.0 or 2.5 dominators. my power goals is 450awhp on a 06wrx. i was going to run the grimspeed tmic with injector dynamic 1000cc. which would be my best option for this set up, thanks
