  • Q: Headers, upside, and downpipe  Nick S2 months ago

I know this needs a a twin scroll exhaust setup but I can't find any for my usdm 06 STi. What part numbers or links can you give me to run this turbo. Headers uppipe and downpipe
  • Q: Exhaust and up pipe required   Miguel11 months ago

Hi, just purchased the turbo and was inquiring if I could run a invidia bell mouth downpipe or would I need the twin scroll set up? Any suggestions if I do?
  • Q: No modifications to fit?  brooklynzillist726621 year ago

I have jdm ej207 v9, I can directly bolt this in the stock location of my twin scroll turbo without changing or modifying anything? I am using sti tmic since its been tested to cool off quicker and more efficiently then PW TMIC and I obviously have upgraded fuel pump, rails, lines and injectors. Just want to make sure it will fit without having to add or delete anything.

A:  You'll want to have an aftermarket intake and downpipe, and installing this will also require professional tuning. Upgraded headers or a top mounts would also help you get the most out of this turbo.

  • Q: Fitment say 'OEM upgrade' explain please.  jamesrw1 year ago

Fitment says 'OEM upgrade' - what exactly does that mean and if I order the 3 inch inlet version will I need TGV deletes for it to fit a 2004 Subaru STI
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This will require a twin scroll setup for your 04 STI, and will not bolt to the stock USDM uppipe. By "OEM Upgrade," it refers to an OEM location turbo that is an aftermarket upgrade, although it is intended for JDM vehicles. As for the 3" version, TGV deletes will make fitting the required inlet significantly easier.

  • Q: True twin scroll housing?  Lvk 2 years ago

Is this a true twin scroll divided housing or does this have a merge to single scroll before the impeller?
  • Q: Intercooler  RMS102 years ago

i know having a front mount intercooler would be more beneficial, but is it still possible to run an updgraded process west top mount ? or is the turbo too big?
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  It really depends on your goals for the setup, but I wouldn't hesitate to run this with the Process West TMIC, it should cool it well enough and help responsiveness.

When it says 550hp capable, does that mean at the crank or at the wheels?
  • Q: finding parts  07rexWAGON6 years ago

so if I were to order this turbo where exactly can I find the JDM parts necessary to run this?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  We do carry the twin scroll manifold however, we do not carry the correct downpipe for this turbo and we have not been able to find anywhere to source these.

  • Q: Supporting Mods  DarkMega6 years ago

I see you carry Tomei twin scroll headers. Would the Cobb downpipe and exhaust be sufficient for a twin scroll. Do you carry all the necessary parts to complete a twin scroll changeover?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  To convert to a TS you must run a specific TS downpipe. At this time there is no US spec TS downpipe and would require a purchase of JDM spec downpipe and catback complete the conversion. At this time we do not have TS downpipes

  • Q: supporting mods   WillFrye9047 years ago

what else must i do if i am going to put on a bigger turbo
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  If you are changing from single scroll to twin scroll, then you will need a twin scroll header, uppipe and downpipe. For almost any upgraded turbo it is recommended to upgrade the intake, exhaust, fuel system and get a custom tune. The upgrades will also depend on which turbo you choose and please contact us for more information about supporting mods.

  • Q: rotated turbo?  mark.d7 years ago

does this require you to rotate the turbo or can you leave it as is? I'm currently running the dom 2.5 and i thought it was as big as you could go without rotating
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This will be a stock location turbo, no rotating needed, but this one in particular is a twin scroll model so it will require you to us a twin scroll manifold and uppipe.

A:  This turbo will be a stock location turbo, However this particular model is the JDM twin scroll version so it will require you to us a twin scroll header, uppipe, downpipe, and catback. In order for you to run this turbo it would have to be factory twin scroll car. We do have the non twin scroll Dom 3.0 that will fit your vehicle. Search this part number on our site and it should bring you right to it! BLC DOM3.0XTR
