When it comes to aftermarket turbochargers for this particular platform, Blouch Performance Turbo is among one of the more popular choices among enthusiasts because they are built using careful manufacturing methods to produce a more powerful direct bolt-in option. On this page, you are looking at their Dominator 3.0 XTR 10cm2 Turbocharger.

Investing in a larger turbo as well as supporting mods is one of the best power upgrades you could buy. Blouch is the leader in turbo development; they consistently build the best turbos. The new XT-R line of turbos from Blouch consists of a billet compressor wheel to optimize the aerodynamics of a turbo and increase compressor flow within the same inducer geometry.

The features of this turbocharger allows you to build more horsepower at lower boost pressure. Other features include a 55 lb/min fully machined billet compressor wheel, a high-efficiency Garrett GT turbine wheel, Garrett GT full ball bearing system, and an adjustable upgrade wastegate actuator that is calibrated at 15 PSI with their new 10cm2 bolt on turbine housing.

The larger turbine housing reduces turbine inlet pressure and increases peak horsepower output.

Included with this turbocharger will be the coolant and oil drain pipes, along with a stainless steel oil feed line along with new gaskets and hardware to make this turbocharger ready for the installation.

Lag is just foreplay

This turbo is a little slower to spoil tha my precision bolt in I had but not ridiculously slow. It sounds like a jet fighter spooling, and pulls awesome when in boost. It'll definitely put you in your seat.

This turbo is so awesome! Got some great DYNO numbers, with 478WHP and 373lbs of torque on a 2009 Subaru WRX. This Turbo spool very aggressive, you will love to see how you get to 110MPH on 3rd Gear. This Turbo was a very important part upgrade on my entire motor built. GET IT!

what are the inlet sizes on this turbo are the same as the 2.5xtr non 3in!???

    • A: This particular turbo is the stock 2.4" inlet size, but Blouch does offer the 3.0XT-R in a 3" inlet as well:

  • Q: Injectors  01eggy10 10 months ago

I was wondering what size injectors should be used for this turbo. Would 1050cc be good or should I get bigger ones?

    • A: Typically 1050cc injectors would be fine. You will need to consult your tuner to be sure though.

Will this turbo with supporting mods on a STI be able to get 500whp on e85 or would i need the 4.0xtr? Also would I see 400whp on 91 Oct. Which Blouch turbo would very me there?

    • A: This turbo is capable of putting down 550 HP to the crank which can translate to about 450-500 WHP. This turbo should be an excellent set up for you, however when you say supporting mods I would hope you are referring to your engine being built and not just simple bolt ons. To reiterate I would STRONGLY suggest getting your motor built before running anything larger than a 1.5.

    • A: I had a fully built motor minus cams and with E85 and 27 PSI I hit 504WHP with this turbo. 450-500 is true. I did 440WHP on 91 and 504 on E85.

  • Q: Which turbo?  bikeskatesnow 1 year ago

Thanks for answering my first question about the top mount but I still didn't really understand which turbo I should be looking at for that 400-450whp range. Dominator 2.0, 2.5 or 3.0 would be most optimal to reach this power while keepin lag at its lowest? And do all 3 of those fit stock location?

    • A: All those turbos are stock location, there are many factors that play into how much power you can make with different turbos. The 2.0 would be sufficient to hit your power goals on race fuel. If you plan on using pump gas the 3.0 would be a better choice.
