  • Q: Inlet size?  M1SS1ON2 months ago

Turbo inlet 2.4' or 3' inch?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This will use the factory 2.4 inch inlet size, which for this size of turbo is what I would personally go with. Much easier to install, more inlet options, and you are still able to get mind blowing power out of this beast :) Thanks, Rick

  • Q: Banjo bolt  Kaledoherty853 years ago

I am looking st buying this turbo. But do I need to purchase a banjo bolt for the oil feed lines? I havnt seen any mention of it on here. Or is there a different method to this?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  You will reuse the banjo bolts for this turbo, though most people end up replacing them upon installation.

  • Q: 1.5 vs 2.5  travelguy2k3 years ago

How would a 2.5 with an 8cm compare to a 1.5 with a 10cm compare for spool time and flow?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The 2.5 is definitely going to be slower compared to the 1.5. Flow wise though you are going to improve the power band and you are going to be able to achieve higher numbers with the 2.5. It all just comes down to whether or not you want big power with a little slower spool time, or more of an instant feel with less HP.

A:  I have 3.5xtr with a 10cm hot side. I am trying to downsize without loosing much power but have less lag. Im at 410/415 right now. Trying to find out if a 2.5xtr with a 3" inlet and a 8cm hot side exists, this might be the best of both words. the difference between the 1.5 and the 2.5 is only 10hp but if the spool is that much different i might be inclined to go with the 1.5.

  • Q: Ceramic coating  The Autobahn4 years ago

Is a caramic coated Turbine housing available? When will be the new design Compressor housing available?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  You can have ceramic housing if you were to pay the extra fee from Blouch, and Blouch hasn't released an updated compressor housing for this turbo. So I am sorry I am not sure when they plan to update this.

  • Q: 2.5 vs 1.5  Rubber_Dubber6 years ago

I notice this 2.5 is rated at only 10 crank hp higher than the 1.5 turbo. Besides the 10hp difference, why would one choose the 2.5 over the 1.5 and visa vers
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The 2.5XT-R will have slightly more peak power and the powerband will be in the higher RPMs. The 1.5XT-R will have quicker spool and better response, but not quite as much peak power. Which turbo is recommended depends on the use and goals for the car.

  • Q: 2011 wrx  JEng6 years ago

Will this bolt right up to a 2011 WRX? when i filter my car there aren't any turbos listed.
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The later model WRXs have a different turbocharger configuration and will require adaptation to utilize the traditional style turbocharger. The Process West top mount designed for your vehicle as well the Process West' traditional adapter hose would be the best route to go for a bolt on application.

  • Q: Exhaust Housing size  Hutch7217 years ago

Is there a performance difference between the 8 and 10cm housings?
  • Q: Blouch model comparision  MarcB7 years ago

What's the difference in quality and performance between the Blouch 2.5XT and the Blouch 20G as applied to a 2012 WRX?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The quality will be similar for both turbos and the 2.5XT-R is rated for 50hp more than the 20GXT-R. The 20G will spool faster, but will not make as much power.

  • Q: turbine size  ken.gardner15641437 years ago

What is the inducer/exducer size on the wheel for this turbo compared to the 1.5 xt-r?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Both the 1.5 and the 2.5 use a 71mm compressor wheel, however inducer size is not listed. Compared to the 1.5 the 2.5 is a larger turbine wheel at 60mm vs 56.5mm that is on the 1.5.
