Awesome turbo. Makes more power then the 1.5xtr. Full boost 20.7psi at 3700 rpms. 356whp 350wtq on a Mustang dyno 91 octane tune. Never enough power for me so get the 3.0 or 3.5 xtr lol

I'm fairly happy with this turbo! I was only expecting about 370 whp but my tuner was able to get 400+ to the wheels running 22-23 psi. Spools up pretty quick and good for a daily. Definitely worth the price!

don't know this gonna help any one,but i just have this turbo install in my 2011 sti. dyno i got 422 whp 419 tq and 22 psi on 91 fuel which i very happy for my set up. what i have is id 1000cc injector. 265 fuel pump. TGV?perrin exhaust manifold. invidia dp exhaust, grimm speed up 44 mm wast gate, perrin fmic. i have a 2.75 inlet, but my tuner say if i go for a 3 i will get 10 more hp which i do and i car run very well much easy to drive, sound very nice after i use the perrin manifold, it hits very hard on the 4300rpm, with the stock motor, and i i get this turbo bucuz i tuner say is very good, so i go for it, and i like a lot with the number, and they say if i go for e85 will easily get over 500 whp, i hope the this will help people who want to good turbo, for the stock location,

I bought this for my 2009 WRX with a Perrin FMIC and tons of other mods/built motor. The turbo is very quality but some of the finishing could have been a touch better for the price. This turbo fits well, but the compressor housing is rotated clockwise slightly, which made matching it up to the PERRIN FMIC piping tricky. What I love about this turbo- It hits very hard when it spools up... but spool up on my built motor with PERRIN ELH is about 4500RPM (FMIC is also a factor). It pulls all the way to redline (7250 on my build), and I hit 350WHP on a DynaPack (similar to Mustang) at 22psi on Cali 91. (brand new motor, conservative tune, old gas) I bought this to run E85, and we expect over 400WHP on the same dyno based on what we've seen. I can tell you that the car is a different level of fast than stock VF52 with Stage 3 TP Tune. The numbers don't tell the story!! Is the 8cm better? I think the 8cm will give you spool more like what you are used to on the stock WRX. The hard torque hit at 3500 or so and shifting by 6500... for a daily driver, point and shoot, this might be a little more fun. My particular car is built and tuned for track days, where I'll be up in the revs more, but as a DD I'd wish I had the smaller hot-side. (although the later spool has me driving slower). Pros: 4.5-star build, 5-star performance. BALL BEARINGS, SPOOLS LIKE JET FIGHTER (once up to speed). Included internal wastegate works very well at 22psi. My car feels great! (I see taper to about 20psi at redline). Cons: Later spool than I expected... maybe the FMIC, maybe the 10cm? I can't wait for E85!

Just installed this on my 2011 sti along with ID 1000cc injectors and a walbro 255. Had some minor fitment issues with the factory TMIC but i suggest doing a FMIC with this turbo anyways, which is next on my list. after a custom tune, this turbo pulls hard and the spool up sounds amazing! Very impressed

I used to always want the BIGGEST turbo I could possibly get for my STi. I never thought about lag time until I started looking into buying this turbo. I definitely feel it has one of the best blends of power along with a fast spool up time. Great for daily drivers who like to have a little fun on the weekends also.
