  • Q: Differences Between This and "No EGT Bung"  Justin_sti18 days ago

So right now I have a 2012 STi hatchback. All I have for my exhaust set up is the Invidia Catted Downpipe and the Invidia Q300 exhaust. Which one should I get? EGT bung or no EGT bung?
  • Q: I have a 2013 wrx. will i need the EGT Bung?  Codes2 months ago

from what ive been hearing only a few year models have the EGT sensor, and the 2013 doesn't have the sensor. Do you know if this is correct?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The EGT bung is only required for the later model WRX's that use a catted up pipe. You're 2013 WRX will not need this feature.

  • Q: Will it fit?  Yosemite WRX4 months ago

Hi guys, I'm wondering why it says in red letters "This does not fit your: 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX" right above the ADD TO CART button?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This uppipe removes an OEM catalytic converter in the 02-05 WRX, so although it will bolt up, we cannot technically confirm fitment since it removes an emissions device.

  • Q: External wastegate  KanekiS11 months ago

Will I be able to run a Tial V60 wastegate on this?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  No, this is not designed for any external wastegates and you would need to have either an up pipe like Grimmspeed's EWG Uppipe or have one like this custom fabricated to run the wastegate.

  • Q: Hardware  Matt C.1 year ago

I'm planning on purchasing this uppipe, however, all the hardware that I currently have on my 06 WRX are trash. How many nuts and bolts/studs will I have to purchase to completely replace all of them? I'd like to replace the ones on the turbo to downpipe, turbo to uppipe and lower uppipe to headers.
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  You'll need all the gaskets as well as 5 nuts for the up pipe, 5 nuts for the downpipe, 2 bolts and 3 studs.

  • Q: Uppipe and Turboback  Blubaruwrx1 year ago

I recently bought a 2011 wrx with a Q300 turboback. I read that the turboback doesn't include a uppipe. Is this true and are there compatibility issues with uppipes connecting?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The turboback exhaust system refers to the turbo, back. So everything from the turbo all the way back which would be just the downpipe and exhaust. The up-pipe connects to the turbo which provides the exhaust gases to the turbo. But no their will be no fitment issues with mounting this to your vehicle.

  • Q: Up pipe   mike2112 years ago

I have a 2010 sti hatchback. Will I need the up pipe with or without the EGT bung? Will there be any issues with inspections for emissions? Or CEL codes problem?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Your vehicle should not have an EGT sensor in the uppipe and we aren't able to confirm if it would cause an issue with emissions.

i have a 2004 subaru wrx will i throw a CEL with this up pipe? do i have to do the resistor mod do you know if a 2004 wrx EGT is on the headers or on the up pipe?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This uppipe has a bung for the stock EGT sensor, and you should not have a check engine light as long as you reconnect the EGT sensor. Stock Subaru EGT sensors are only in the uppipe.

  • Q: Pass?  Stingray234 years ago

I still have a lot to learn. My question is, I noticed that this does not have a pre-catalytic converter. Will this pass inspection? Also is the temperature sensor mandatory to pass? I notice that other up-pipes do not have them. I want to increase WHP whilst not having to worry about inspection. Thank you for your time
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  We cannot verify whether this will pass inspection for emissions testing or not, but the EGT sensor is generally not required. You will need to check your local laws to confirm legality for street use.

  • Q: sti 2009 sounds   bohmdan81551214 years ago

q: will the sound be different ?? q: is there any different between the other up pipe brand?? q: if i want to install bigger turbo should i change the headers or the up pipe will be enough ? thanks
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  An aftermarket uppipe will be slightly louder than stock and the spooling sound will be a little more noticeable. This uppipe is similar to most others, but it comes with an EGT bung so you can reinstall the stock EGT sensor on vehicles that came with catted uppipes from the factory. You can use the stock or aftermarket header/uppipe with larger turbos, but headers and/or an uppipe will increase flow for more power.

  • Q: Need to replace?  zeus122376046024 years ago

I've been told that I don't need to replace my up-pipe when I replace my down pipe and go stage 2 because the stock up-pipe is catless. Is this true?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Depending on the year of your vehicle. Subaru stopped putting cats in the uppipe in early 04. anything after that will not have a cat.

  • Q: Noisy?  CeD4 years ago

Hi all, I'm at the point To order this up-pipe for my sti 2011. My first question is: which suitable gasket you advise me To buy with it? My second question is: as I have the invidia n1 catback, the invidia catted downpipe, and the stock up-pipe, will it be a big difference of the noise if buy the invidia catless downpipe with this up-pipe? What About the power gain? Thx!
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Just a basic lower and upper uppipe gasket will be fine. As far as noise is concerned, going catless can cause the exhaust to sound raspy. Power gains aren't going to be noticeable either.

A:  When installing this you will also want to get an upper/lower uppipe gasket. As well as a turbo to downpipe gasket as you have to unbolt it to reach the uppipe studs. In addition to those gaskets we recommend tuning as well.
