This is the Torque Solution 2.4" Turbo Inlet Hose. This particular inlet hose in larger in size and it smooths the air entering the turbo when compared to the restrictive OEM inlet hose.
The Torque Solution unit is made from 4 ply high-grade silicone fibers and it is wire reinforced to help prevent collapsing under high pressure, and it will also come provided with a black anodized billet aluminum coupler.

Boyyyyyyy if you want a challenge try installing one of these bad boys. I saw some videos and seemed simple enough but getting it all to line up was the hardest part. I really do wish the vacuum fittings were placed more intelligently because fighting the hardline that goes to the power steering was a tough one. Plus I had to get different lengths of hoses for my AOS. I can say the clamps and the metal fitting that goes to the BPV are a great improvement over my old worn perrin one. One gripe that I had was that upon receiving it that it was covered in mold. I simply washed it off.
Purchased this on a Tuesday, it arrived from the manufacturer the same Thursday. Extremely fast shipping. It is very well made, with nice thick material. I can't comment on performance yet, as the car is just barely back on the road, but based solely on visual comparison, it'll flow quite a bit more air. The downside to it being larger is that it's quite tough to get into position. I had to take all of my intake manifold bolts off in order to be able to wiggle it enough to finally get it into place. On top of that, due to the larger size the intake manifold didn't want to align back onto the bolt holes. A significant amount of pushing as hard as I could was required to slightly deform the inlet hose and allow them to line up properly. I am a novice "mechanic" and installing this took hours and was extremely frustrating. Additionally it did not come with any instructions, and unlike most of the other versions available on RSD, it doesn't have a PCV valve opening, so the hose coming from the engine has to be blocked/clamped off. Not a big deal, but be prepared with a cap and clamp. Bottom line is, it's not a technical (requiring particularly great skills) install, but it's an install that will fight you tooth and nail and cause frustration. Due to that I'm giving an overall 3 stars.
