  • Q: Install fitment  dgalupar569366 months ago

Will I have fitment issues with Grimspeed tmic and GT3071r turbo?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  It is recommended to have a 3-inch inlet on the GT3071R. You will want to run https://www.rallysportdirect.com/part/turbo-inlet-hoses-and-pipes/per1-psp-int-410bk-perrin-turbo-inlet-hose-3in-black

  • Q: Boost Creep concern  Tomas Franks4 years ago

If I run a full catless turbo back exhaust (x2 bungs), CAI, boost solenoid, 50/50 BOV, and this product...can a pro tune not eliminate boost creep should it happen after installing this item?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  When running catless it is always a possibility boost creep may be an issue, oftentimes the only way to fix this would be to go with an external wastegate.

A:  This part is installed before the turbo. Highly unlikely this is the cause of a leak.(leak could be pre-existing) If there is a boost leak due to part, it would be: a vacuum line connection, or BOV failure.

  • Q: Anybody running this with stock airbox and catless DP?  whitesox311310374 years ago

I installed this and have a bit of boost creep now, I saw someone else saying the same thing, but most people i know that have boost creep have cold air intakes, not running stock airbox.
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  We have not tested this inlet with the stock airbox and a catless downpipe. If you already have a custom tune, then you may need to modify the tune slightly to correct the boost creep.

  • Q: installation question   dgalupar569365 years ago

Is this installed at the other end of the intake? And how does it go with instructions?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Perrin provides instructions with the product, and also lists the instructions on their site. This goes under the intake manifold and goes between the intake and the turbo
