Description

Silicone technology allows PERRIN to design a turbo inlet hose that is better in all aspects than the OEM part and increases your engines horsepower and performance.

The PERRIN inlet hose is perfectly smooth on the inside and has a significantly larger internal diameter than the OEM part. The increased air flow by removing the pleats found in the OEM hose makes more horsepower, decreases turbo spool time, improves acceleration and increases throttle response.

The PERRIN Performance 3" turbo inlet hose is specifically designed for turbo charger upgrades with 3" inlets. PERRIN Performance is your only option to avoid constructing your own intake system and is compatible with any replacement intake system which will work with the stock inlet hose.

The PERRIN inlet hose is reinforced with a stainless steel support wire that is embedded within the silicone layers. The support adds rigidity to the hose and prevents collapse when used with restrictive filter elements and large turbo applications running extreme amounts of boost.

Fits 2013 wrx plasti manifold
Schnitzel 3 months ago
Came with everything I needed to install it and seems like good quality. It fit my 2013 WRX with the the plastic manifold without issue. It fit rite up to a dominator 4.0 turbo fairly easily. I deleted the TGV, EGR, and all the air pump plumbing, wich may cause an issue with fitment. Something to keep in mind if you want to pair this intake with the plastic WRX manifold.

Meh.

I was running a 3 inch to 2 1/2 inch coupler and a ebay silicone inlet before i bought this. can honestly say that my old set up was better because the perrin pipe doesn't really let me run a bov hose.. its too close to the manifold and the silicone won't fit over my FP green inlet because its too thick in the rh corner and won't really slip on all the way.. installation is pretty easy if you face the nipple down the whole way in. Not bad but definitely not worth more than like 75 bucks.

Fitting Perrin Inlet

Good product, well made. Fitting it was a challenge requiring allot of effort but worth it in the end. The connecting pipework (clips and small hoses) should also be checked/changed before commencing the hose swop.

  • Q: perrin 3" turbo inlet hose  tony2tone 2 years ago

    Answer

I have a turbo wuth a 82mm inlet wich requires a 84mm inlet hose or coupler. Will the perrin 3" hose stretch enough to fit over the turbo inlet ?

    • A: We wouldn't be able to confirm if the Perrin will stretch enough to fit, this is confirmed for 3" turbo inlets.

    Answer

I'm switching from my Perrin 2.4 to the 3inch for my new turbo. I see that the pcv inlet that is right before the turbo on the 2.4 model is not there on this one. Do you have to T that of into another breather line?

    • A: The PCV inlet at that location is for the Crank Case. If you run the 3, you would at that point need to T the Heads and the crank together to run into another one of the PCV ports.

  • Q: Tgv   nemesis_g1766753 4 years ago

    Answer

Are tgv deletes required to run this inlet?

    • A: Removal of the TGV sensors, TGV motors and butterfly valves in the TGVs are necessary in order to make clearance for inlet hose on passenger side of motor.

      Zach G. 4 years ago
    • A: I think he might be asking if he needs to run a TGV delete kit in order to properly run this inlet, which he does not. I don't think he's referring to the install process.

le chocolate moose 4 years ago
    • A: The passenger side TGV motor is not compatible with this inlet and needs to be permanently removed for clearance reasons.

      Zach G. 4 years ago
    • A: this is from highly reputable tuner, TopSpeed: the 3 inlet will clear the factory TGV motors on the 2008+ STi's but not the 2004-07 STi's.

le chocolate moose 4 years ago
    • A: According to Perrin's instructions you are right about 2007+ models not needing TGV deletes. 07 models do not need to deal with removing TGV motors, and sensors. The newer cars have them built into one part.
