Features & Product Details

The COBB Tuning Silicone Turbo Inlet is a great upgrade to your vehicle that will improve throttle response, reduce turbo lag, and more importantly increase horsepower and torque. This is achieved through the improved design. The factory turbo inlet hose is a restrictive design that includes ridges that causes turbulence within the air flow.

The COBB tuning silicone hose carries many attributes that makes it a solid upgrade, and an overall better investment for your vehicle. It has been crafted from high grade 5-ply silicone that does an amazing job at repelling heat generated from the engine bay, and keeps air as close as possible to ambient temperatures.  Because of the smooth design of the pipe, your engine will be able to  breathe much better and inhale more air without fighting the restrictions of the factory unit.

This is an OEM replacement component, and has been designed to work with standard sized inlets of 2.4”

Best value when it comes to STi turbo inlets. 18 days ago

Yes it is a "trim to fit" part which can be frustrating. I sprayed mine with soapy water before installing, this definitely aided in the ease of slipping it through the manifold. I did this & the Cobb AOS at the same time and would say the AOS install was more involved / difficult than the inlet.. just my 2c.

Not worth the money 8 months ago

Cobb has very poor installation instructions. If your trying to install this on the EJ257 engine its really bad especially with the poor instructions on how to route the hose to the PCV. Not worth the trouble buy any other inlet even an eBay inlet is better quality/fit.

Mixed Feelings 3 years ago

Now that it is in and I'm seeing the benefits of the inlet tube I would say its worth it, however I would have been singing another tune if you asked me during install :) Install: So first things first this is a 4/5 wrench on Cobbs site and they really mean it. I was able to find some good videos online of guys doing inlets on other years so I had some tricks up my sleeve. Biggest miss here for me was Cobb does not provide any kind of hosing diagram for this. I had to work with their customer support (which was top tier as always) to ensure I had the hoses correct. Sounds like they are working on some instructions for this install but as the consumer know that as of April 2017 you are going into this blind. Expect a good 4-6 hours if you are decently mechanically inclined. You will need to remove certain parts and you will need to modify the product to fit you specific application. Not too hard but time consuming and frustrating at times. Quality: This meets the level of quality I expect from Cobb and continues to be one of my top reasons I support them and their products. The hose and other included components are great quality as well. Overall: Now that its in and everything is sorted out I am really happy with it. Ill admit having the car down overnight because I couldn't verify correct hose placement was frustrating to me and there are a few points of the install that really take some patience. I would do this again if one of my really good buddies wanted to do it and I am pretty sure we could knock the time down quite a bit with all that I learned. However I wouldn't do this on just a regular budies car if ya know what I mean. If you are decently mechanically inclined I would say go for it but give yourself a day or so to get it done. Hopefully resources are better available soon from Cobb so you don't have to ask them how the hoses go. I wouldn't say be scared of it but I would say respect the 4/5 wrenchs as they really mean it.
