Install process was ridiculous. Either the threads are different when they originally designed the tow hook, but for the life of me I couldn't get the hook to align with the proper positioning with the logo upright. Installing this front tow hook required me to use 3 washers on the hook side of the thread to achieve the correct positioning. The rod requires a 22mm socket to tighten to your re-reinforcement bar, tread carefully you can easily nick up the rod tightening with a socket and heavy strength. I then proceeded to use a rod, wrench or, breaker bar with doubled up rags or microfiber to tighten the hook end without dinging up the finish. Can't comment on how well it performs, but it looks good. I think it provides a some protection from someone backing into your car as well!

A: Our rep at Torque Solution actually test fit the tow hook kits on their 18 Crosstrek, and they said that TQS TS-THR-SVA works better on the front.Marcus E. @ RallySport Direct 3 years ago
