Torque Solution Rear Differential Brace
Subaru WRX 2002-2007 / STI 2004-2007
Features & Product Details
RallySport Direct proudly carries a massive selection of high-performance engine, suspension, and drivetrain upgrades to reinforce your race car, rally car, or overlander brought to you by Torque Solution.
This is the Torque Solution Rear Differential Brace. This is a great component for those of you who are making substantial amounts of horsepower and need more reinforcement to avoid excessive movement in the rear differential under high-performance driving conditions. Less drivetrain movement means that more power will be transferred to the ground for improved traction.

Overall, good product that should be accompanied by other products. I bought all new hardware from subaru for 50$ the differential to avoid using the old rusted ones you pull out. I also bought new torque solution bushings for the brace you pull out that come with new metal sleeves. Upon installing the diff. brace, you have to ensure all the bolts/studs are in place through the brace otherwise you cannot match the side bolts up once the studs are in. it IS a little difficult to install this because if you're like me, you have the spare tire underbody panel in the way right where you need to put your ratchet. Aligning the studs to go into the diff through the brace was also tedious as it's difficult to line things up correctly. You have to wiggle the studs back and forth in order for them to find their bite. Secure the studs with the nuts tightly before securing the outside two bolts to the subframe as you will most likely not be able to get a socket onto the stud nuts after you take the socket off. Makes a good difference overall paired with the kartboy rear subframe lockdown bolts I installed prior, makes the rear end very solid and connected and throttle response is also improved with everything mated tightly. I did this install on the ground under jackstands so it might work better on a lift.
Wow. Just...wow. I can't believe how easy the install was and how much of a difference this made in my car. (2002 BUILT WRX) So, before, when launching to do a pass, i was getting a lot of movement in the rear diff which was actually causing my axles to break under load. I know, we all want the axles to break before anything else breaks. We also want to run clean passes when launching and this little guy really gave my car exactly what she needed: a tighter rear end. I did this upgrade with new transmission mount and engine mounts along side a new pitch stop as well. Honestly: night and day. Noise transfer to the inside from the transmission has increased some, but not bad at all. i'd definitely recommend this upgrade for anyone with a sloppy rear end. Even my passengers have noticed a massive difference in daily driving feel.
