On this page, you are looking at the Torque Solution Billet Steering Damper Lockdown. The intended purpose of this component is to remove the excessive steering play caused by the OEM rubber steering damper which will become weak over time, and cause excessive movement. Once installed, you will experience better steering feedback under street driving, or high-performance driving conditions.
These have been anodized in a black finish for extra protection against corrosion, and they will come provided with hardware to make them ready for the installation.

Tried these instead of more expensive Perrin ones on SH series of Forester and they work. This has also eliminated a knock sound heard at around 1/4 turn. Torque Solution should include SH Foresters in the list
This was a large improvement for freeway driving on my crosstrek and I've found no increase in sounds or vibration which I was surprised about. Only 36,000 miles on my 2016 crosstrek but I have the method 502 and grabber at2 wheels/tires. I think the extra weight of the wheels might have been causing the steering bushing to compress more and causing play in the steering. This item has cleared up the majority of that and I think the rest is due the design of the steering rack itself. Well worth the money and Super easy and quick to install.
Easily installed onto my WRX from underneath the car. This really helped the clean up the steering wheel feel, it felt a bit loose before this was installed. You could probably get the same affect from swapping in the steering linkage from an STI, but they were about the same price with the Cyber-Monday discount.
