On this page, you are looking at the Torque Solution Billet Pitch Stop Mount. The factory pitch stop mount is the mount that can be found under the factory top mount intercooler and it sits between the firewall and the front end of the transmission. With that being said, the factory units are prone to breaking due to the stress of the forward and backward movement of the drivetrain. Naturally, Torque Solution developed a much stronger option.
The Torque Solution Pitch Stop Mount has been fabricated using lightweight 6061-T6 billet aluminum materials, and it has been street and track torture tested for quality assurance. Additionally, it will come provided with durable 75A durometer bushings.
This particular pitch stop will come anodized in a red finish to provide a clean look in the engine bay, and to provide extra protection against rust and corrosion.

The pitch stop mount helped a bit with the pitching motion, as it was meant to do, but with Torque Solution's, it performs a bit better than the stock/oem "dog bone". The noise/vibration coming from the engine is a good bit oouder, tou can definitely hear and tell that you no longer have the oem piece on. The piece itself is rugged and from my own experience just as good as cobbs or perrins, if not better for a cheaper price. If you really want to feel a major difference when changing mounts, everything involved in stabalizing your engine, you should replace. Installation was easy, and renoval was easy too, don't over tighten nuts and make sure you loosen them up properly. That being said, USE LUBRICANT FOR INTERCOOLER PIPING or it will take ages to re-place (put back) the damn things.
The stock pitch stop mount is basically a composite plastic bar, about the width of your pinky finger, with some rather weak rubber bushings at the mount points on either end. While it does its job okay, once the bushings begin to wear our, your motor can pitch enough to reduce the amount of power making it to the wheels (how much is debatable), or even throw the balance of the car off during hard acceleration or when lifting off of the throttle. First test drive after installing this on my 2011 STI Limited Sedan and WOW I was not expecting that much of a difference in the feel of the driving experience! Let's be honest, this isn't going to improve your handling and it isn't going to add as much HP as the stickers from your other mods in the rear windshield. What it DOES do, though, is make the car feel more solidly planted, and make the engine engagement when applying power to the ground feel more confident and less "sloppy", in the same way that shifter bushings take the slop out of the experience of shifting gears. This is a solidly constructed item, and even weighs less (subjectively anyway) than the stock pitch stop mount. The bushings are stiff, but have enough "give" that you can tell they will not create an unnecessary amount of stiffness which could lead to unwanted noise or other problems. No difference in NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) best I can tell. Time will tell what happens as this new mount "breaks in", and whether or not this is as significant upgrade from stock as it appears to be. That being said, this is a billet aluminum machined part and therefore should hold up to just about whatever you can throw at it.
This is a fantastic product! Installed on a 2004 Forester XT. The build quality is outstanding way stronger than the flimsy stock Subaru pitch stop. There is a noticeable difference in the feel of the way the car drives and shifts. A must for any Subaru.
