I have a 2019 Toyota 86 TRD. I got the product in the mail and it came with the shifter and grease. There’s supposed to be rubber O-rings that come with it but for some reason my package did not have it. I installed it which is fairly simple with videos on YouTube and no one in the videos that I’ve seen installed or even talked about the rubber O-rings. With it installed I drove around and a rattle gradually became louder as I was at higher rpms. I uninstalled it and installed it 4 times and could not find a problem. Some forums suggested that the reverse lockout or the spring inside was sometimes the problem which I did notice it had a tiny bit of slack with the reverse lockout. But when I drove and held the reverse shifter in place the rattle continued. I checked the spring inside and there was a slight bend which I don’t know if that’s supposed to be like that or it was faulty. I called torque solutions and said to install the o-rings which would help with the rattle but... I didn’t have it. Everyone that installed it on YouTube did not install o rings and had no rattle so i don’t know what happened but mine did and guess just had bad luck. I emailed them and tried getting a refund or some parts like the spring or the o rings but never got a reply. Maybe I just got unlucky or it was my model of car because everyone installed it in the base model or GT, no one did the TRD. Anyways everyone else said they liked it but it didn’t work out for me.
