The easiest way to tell if you WRX has the factory short shifter installed is by pulling down your factory shift boot, and looking at the color of the lever. If it is gold zinc plated in color, then you have the STI option installed. If it is a dark gray, then it is the stock assembly.

Definitely worth the price, nice finish and feels great in hand. There isn't a major size difference in the OEM and TS Short throw, but when you actually install it, there is a MAJOR difference. It feels sturdy when going in and out of gear. The throws are much shorter than OEM. Just make sure you don't tighten it up too much, or it'll be harder to get in gear. You'll definitely have to play around with the tightness of the bolt.
