STI Transmission Mount - Subaru 5MT Models (inc. 2002-2014 WRX)
Manufacturer Part # D1010FE020
RallySport Direct is proud to carry STI Engine and Transmission Mounts. Whether if you participate in high-performance driving conditions, or if you perform modifications that increase the horsepower or torque of your engine, then you could be surpassing the limits of your factory engine mounts.
On this page, you are looking at the STI Transmission Mount. This is a homogenized mount made from stiffer materials designed to reduce the motion of your engine during acceleration, hard cornering, as well as high revving. This mount will provide a more solid and stable feel of the engine through the shift lever, and it will channel more power throughout the drivetrain.
Please Note: This will NOT fit Automatic Transmission.

Should of been my 1st mod

Let me put it this way, this trans mount and any pitch stop mount should of been my 1st mod, way before a cold air intake, mofflers or the AP. With the pitch mount (from any brand) and the STI group n trans mount the car feels like a total bran new car. Banging through gears feels like playing a game council at high or low rpm, specially downshifting from 2nd to 1st. Car feels natural. Acelereration is a lot kore responsive. And make sure to grab the Whiteline Gearbox Positive Shift Kit is $48 worth the spand.
Great bang for the buck

Was going back and forth between this and the Perrin but decided that I didn't want to spend $240 on a mount. Was very pleased with the price and ease of the install. the packaging and everything was perfect just like everything else I've ordered from RSD. First drive was nice. As others have said before, the mount does add some NVH. Nothing unbearable. I notice more gear whining in first and second gear mostly though. The car does shift smoother now under harder acceleration too. For $82 and change, it's a nice sturdy upgrade over the oem mount. Recommend getting one if the old mount is becoming worn.
Good Item BUT be careful to NEVER over tighten!

I purchased this mount for my 05 WRX. The old mount was old and worn, so I decided to upgrade. This Group N Mount was highly suggested. I originally was looking a the Perrin mount, but decided for the price, I'd try this. Be prepared for some added gear whine as well. My issue was I decided to torque it to 32ft/lb where it bolts to the cross member, because everywhere you go you see different numbers for the torque and I didn't want them to fall out either. It ripped the bolt right off the mount. After this experience I found out that the torque rating is 26 ft/lb and no more. Just add some thread lock and you should be good!

I bought this off CL and had it sitting around the garage and decided to install it yesterday. Took it for a test drive after words and was surprised to find out that almost all of the shock load disappeared, it created smoother shifts all the way around, high and low speeds. Just made the Subaru platform(GD) feel way more solid. IMO this is a product that should come factory bc right away it seemed like my trans shifted wayy better. It use to grind a little into 4th gear under heavy load and now it seems to just have disappeared and works great. I believe if these did come stock, the wrx trans would have a greater longevity internally bc of the direct feeling it created. When I buy another Subaru this is probably gonna be my first upgrade. My car is already loud so NVH wasn't an issue.... I DEFINTELY recommend this part for any Subaru enthusiast!
Thumbs up with some NVH

Nice upgrade, and perfect OEM fitment. Shifting is smoother, especially into 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Biggest difference is 1st to 2nd under hard driving. With that said, there has been a definite increase in NVH, under hard driving in second gear. Install is not that difficult, I'd recommend air tools for some of the bolts. I ended up breaking the bolt off the old OEM transmission mount with hand tools, use PB blaster on these! See picture as a reference to which bolt I am talking about.

Q: Install Lucasd 4 years agoAnswer
Just recently bought this from you guys. I just installed a magnaflow cbe on my 2009 wrx. I had to have a muffler shop adjust my hangers cause of the exhaust hitting the driveshaft. Will the new mount retain the stock transmission height or will it alter it? I'm just worried it will cause the exhaust to hit the drive shaft again. Thank you
A: This mount should not change how the transmission mounts, but if the stock mount is worn and allowing the transmission to rest lower than normal, then the new mount may slightly raise the height of the transmission.
