A:  There is a possibility of this allowing the bearing to live longer but ultimately the transmission will need to be rebuilt.

  • Q:   erick23253 years ago

Safe to use on my 12 STi hatch? If so is this good for tranny and rear only? And how many quarts? Pretty sure front and center diff run off different oil right?
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This gear oil can be used in the transmission and rear differential of a 2012 STI, and you will want 6 quarts total in order to fill both. The front and center diff use the fluid in the transmission, and you don't need to drain or fill them separately.

  • Q: 2013 wrx limited hatch  BobbyDubRX135 years ago

Hey so I'm wondering what the difference is between this and the motul 300 ls? And which one would be best for my car I want to replace trans and diff. So how much would I need also?
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  LS is specific to clutch type LSD units. For your car you would be fine to run this 300 in both the transmission and the rear diff. You will need 5qts total, 1 for rear diff and 4 for the trans.
