Whiteline’s Transmission Member Bushings replace the factory’s soft rubber bushings with more robust urethane bushings. This will result in reducing the amount of flex in the transmission support. These are going to be placed in the lateral, and the horizontal support of the transmission, and will ultimately eliminate the flex that is allowed by the soft rubber units in place.
Expect improvements in shifting, as well as in throttle response.
NOTE: Will fit Manual Transmission Only.

Easy to install, improvement over stock
WRC fan 6 months ago
Like any rubber bushing on the STi, the stock transmission crossmember mounts were too soft. These bushings are quite easy to install, but without a lift there is not a lot of space to do this job. Installed these at the same time as a Group N trans mount, and shifting is much smoother and precise, while barely any increase in noise or vibration.
Overall impressive

Installed this in my 2011 Premium WRX 5 gear speed. Makes shifting a whole lot smoother than stock. Unfortunately i did not took any pics or vids.
Slight Difference

I installed these bushings a little while after doing the Group N mount and shifter bushings, so unlike others, I only changed these out instead of doing them at the same time as everything else. You'll notice a minuscule amount of added NVH; I mostly noticed a slight bit of added vibration in the floor. In terms of shift feel and transmission movement, it's also minute but noticeable. Shifts feels ever so slightly more crisp, and I can feel a slight reduction in transmission movement under harder launches. Is it an improvement? Yes. Is it 100% necessary? Not really. Though, if you've got the extra $50 and are swapping transmission mounts, you might as well do this too.
Why Did I Wait?!

I installed these bushings along with the Group N Transmission Mount and can say that together, these replacement parts are worth every penny. The car just feels better/more together, if that makes sense. There is an increase in NVH (about 10% noise and 15% vibration/harshness). Overall, it's not bad enough to make me want to go back to stock mounts and bushings.
Solid shifts

I had this kit installed on my 04 WRX, so I kind of knew what I was getting into when I bought this kit again for my 11 WRX. Nothing has changed, same great product, same driving results, and RSD with the great follow on service!

Q: what's the bag of grease used for that comes with the Whiteline bushings? JW1 2 years ago
Answerwhat's the bag of grease used for that comes with the Whiteline bushings? Will the bushings work with the 2016 STI?
-
-
A: Hi JW1, The grease included with this kit should be applied to any surface of the bushing that will be in contact with the sub-frame or mount (IE; generally the top and bottom) to prevent any noises when the transmission shifts side to side. We have been unable to personally confirm fitment of this kit on a 2016 model STI.
