The grimmspeed gold paint looks great an matches the factory BBS gold considering the factory wheels are 10 years old great product I also purchased the grimmspeed clear

Used almost 4 cans of paint, and 3 cans of clear while also doing the barrel. Soaked and cleaned factory BBS with purple power. Took the shine of factory paint off with scotch brite. Filed down high metal spots on wheel damage. Filled rash and dings with JB weld. Sanded down with low grit then slowly finished off up to scotch brite. Cleaned twice again with Purple Power. Let dry completely. Did probably 3 of 4 coats with Duplicolor self etching primer. 4 to 5 coats of of base color, then finished off with 4 or 5 coats of grimmspeed clear. If I were to do it again, I would have used the grimmspeed gold, and then had a body shop lay on a really thick clear, never been able to get the finish I liked with clear in a can. After letting dry for 3 or 4 days, didn't have an issue with paint coming off while mounting tires. Holding up great even after a really salty trip to Colorado.

Kudos to GrimmSpeed for the perfect matching gold paint. I have had numerous Subaru owners wondering how I got stock 07 WRX rims in gold. I recommend this paint to anybody looking for BBS gold rim paint. Will be trying their World Rally blue paint very soon.

I was so excited to use this after reading good reviews everywhere. Maybe I got a bad batch but the gold isn't even close. Way too light. And no sparkle. So now one peg looks ridiculous. I shook that can soooo long trying to make sure it was perfect. Nope. Should've just got some darker gold spray paint from krylon. Probably will and paint over it.
