    Answer

Does this not fit a 2015 STi? Looking to tame my water temp on track.

    • A: We are not able to confirm the fit of the 15 STI.

  • Q: Do i need it ?  Turbo99 2 years ago

    Answer

My 2010 sti is 2.6 cosworth stroker kit and fully modified, my temperature jumps sometimes more than half and I cleaned the radiator and everything is fine so do i need an aftermarket thermostat and it will affect my car or it will be fine for it , i use for track use and daily use

    • A: This is a lower temperature thermostat meaning it will open up sooner and take the car longer to warm up as well as keep it a little bit cooler. If you desire to have cooler operating temps, then this will help you achieve that.

  • Q: ECU  Mrsniffmonster 3 years ago

    Answer

With the last being said would it and should the ECU be tuned to use this? I own one but im nervous to install it for a check engine light.

    • A: Depending on the temperatures the vehicle is regularly seeing a tune may be required. This is going to open sooner causing the vehicle to take longer to warm up, if it does not warm up the ECU will throw a CEL.

  • Q: Proper operating temp?  virgman 4 years ago

    Answer

I have a 2005 STI with catless turbo back, intake and Cobb stage 2. I don't always push it hard unless it is a track day. Will this cause any issues with the engine reaching proper temp with normal driving?

    • A: Yes, given this thermostat opens at such a low temperature you will notice that the car will have a very hard time reaching normal operating temperatures. Especially if driven in colder climates.

  • Q: check engine light   Jesus1991 5 years ago

    Answer

will this lower temp thermostat make the check engine light come on because is lower than factory temp?

    • A: We have not had any problems with the Check Engine Light being turned on, but if the ECU recognizes that the car is not within normal operating temperatures it may cause the engine to run rich to raise the engine temperature.
