Got dyno tuned with a stock turbo with bolt ons and needed more power so bought this turbo and put it on and gained 75hp with less boost! 312hp before and 387hp after
This turbo is a great buy if you have a 08-14 wrx and are not running a fmic. Very very good turbo the boost is insane and I am only running 21psi on a mild ish tune making 400whp and 393wtq on e85 the top end is a huge noticeable difference. All in all I would 100% recommended this turbo to any one with this year. Great work blouch really expected nothing less.
I installed this turbo on my 2014 WRX hatchback with an IAG EJ25 2.5 stage 2 shortblock along with a plethora of supporting mods. At 20psi I made roughly 60hp over the stock turbo at the same psi. This turbo spools almost 1k rpm later but when it does it pulls hard all the way to redline. I don’t mind this slight turbo lag at all with the WRX 5 speed as it eliminated the sometimes awkward gearing when cruising out of boost in the lower gears. As a daily I feel the car can be comfortably driven out of boost then transform at will in the higher RPM to what you would expect from a larger turbo Subaru. Quality out of the box was amazing as I would expect from Blouch. Highly recommend to anyone looking to make some more power out of a stock location turbo upgrade.
Overall a great turbo. Bolted right on to my 2010 wrx barrow body! Very responsive and I don’t even have the boost cranked up all the way yet. Just installed with the help of my uncle. Just waiting for a little break in period so I can crank this bad boy up to see it’s full potential.
I managed to get 470hp/411tq @21psi on e85 with full supporting mods using this turbo. Lag isn't too bad. Still a very streetable turbo. Looks fairly stock. I was surprised by the hp numbers considering it's advertised as 440hp at the crank. I ran out of fuel on ID1000's. It could very possibly be pushing closer to 500whp with bigger injectors. I ended up running a fmic so the 2 bolt flange was not needed. Ultimately I could've gone with a turbo using the standard coupler flange like on the STI. Which would've opened up my options for other turbos. Just something to keep in mind when considering this turbo. If you plan on a keeping a top mount then you can't go wrong with this one. Overall it's a great turbo if you're looking to make decent power without going full on rotated. The car is perfectly streetable and I would be comfortable with the spooling characteristics doing autox or running a road course. There's not a whole lot of info available for this particular turbo. So hopefully this well help answer the questions that some of you may have. Dyno video with full mods list in the description attached.

I just bought this turbo and try to install it onto my 2009 Subaru WRX, but my stock induction hose came short and didn’t reach all the way to the turbo, do I have to replace that induction hose for a long one or did the turbo not fit into my 2.5L engine ?? Any suggestions please 🙏🏻

A: This was made for your 09 WRX, so it should bolt in without any issues, I would recommend a new induction hose to see if that fixes your problem.
