I decided to go the UEL header on mine solely for the noise. Literally take 15 minutes on ramps in the garage once you have the under shielding removed. The hanger supplied was a little off but I made it work with 1 of 2 bolts. Beware before buying this header, it’s not necessarily performance oriented. The boost climbs a little slower. The torque is still there but seems to be reduced minimally. With a proper tune I’ve seen 350hp. Not a reason to not buy this. The boxer sound does come back and it’s pretty nice. I have mine paired with Mishimoto catted Downpipe and borla s type cat back. All tree pieces are stainless steel for lower tone. I’m satisfied with the header and recommend. Purchased from this website $711 for reference. Good luck, it’s nice!
Had this installed with the Tomei Expreme Ti exhaust + Expreme Ti Straight Pipe all hooked up to the stock/OEM J-pipe. No tune. KILLER SOUND. Definitely takes you back to “the good ‘ol days” of the boxer engine. :^) Also, engine response is improved and turbo lag has been reduced quite a bit. Definitely satisfied with my UEL header.

Q: UEL Header questions mugen.prelude707233 years ago
On this product I have a few questions I can’t seem to find the answer to. Does it come with all replacement gaskets? Does it come with the header wrap like the EL version? Honestly any more information as far as performance Loss/Gain would be amazing. I know due to the twin scroll turbo it won’t be as efficient but it is also wider piping at the same time. Thank you for any information you have on this product.

A: Yes, it will come with the wrap, the gaskets, and all the hardware you will need to install it. And real performance gains is tough as this is a super new piece and were just now starting to see results come through, but with the larger runners you certainly can flow more air over the stock manifold and could see a nice bump in power with a tune and even more so if you're running a larger turbo. Now being unequal length, you won't see as many gains as you would by going with the equal length, but you are gettng back that proper Subaru rumble, which is nice :) Hope this helps!
