This is the Tomei Expreme Unequal Length Exhaust Manifold. This is a direct replacement for your factory exhaust manifold to save weight, improve the exhaust flow while producing an aggressive sound and provide an increase in both horsepower and torque. This exhaust manifold is a great way to really improve the response from your turbocharger from stock to aftermarket as the response and flow will be optimized for decreased spool times, and a faster response.

Received the Tomei UELH very prompt from RSD! All parts were accounted for. I did not use the up-pipe that came with the package but I used the grimmspeed up-pipe because I wanted the external wastegate. Those 2 piece coupled together make a screaming noise that completely transforms the sound of the STI! Trust me, the boxer rumble is still there but the sound is improved greatly. I’ve gotten many compliments on the improvement and when that wastegate opens up, it lets everyone around know YOU ARE NOT STOCK! The headers are of top notch quality and the welds are impeccable! It’s hard to say exactly how much power gainz I achieved from this alone because I had several parts added at once but my tuner said it was safe to say the headers added 20whp and 15-20wtq alone with a tune of course. If your hesisrant at all about getting this header, DONT BE. If you want a nice bump in power and much more agressive boxer rumble, GET THIS, you won’t be disappointed!
Got this (UEL) for my rebuild of the stock '13 wrx engine with upgraded parts/internals. Sounds amazing with Grimmspeed coated catted downpipe, Nvidia N1 catback. Deep throaty rumble all the way into the high RPMs. Easy install when engine is out. Makes ~420 on Mustang dyno after pro-Tune on 93 pump.
I installed this on my 05 Forester XT with a JDM EJ20x, hoping to get a bit earlier spool up, and maybe just a bit of extra grunt even pre-boost. Also it was time for a new uppipe anyway, so hey. I have not re-tuned for these headers yet. Install: Be prepared to raise up the engine for the uppipe - it's easy to do, so don't be discouraged by that. Hardest part was lining up the header to both heads. Unbolt the sleeve joint, make them fit, then tighten up the sleeve joint. No surprises here. Gaskets for uppipe (2) and header to head included and nice nuts & bolts for the uppipe to header union, plus studs for the uppipe to turbo and a bung plug for the EGT sensor hole. Fitment: Everything bolted up exactly how you would expect it to. No issue at all with the oil pan or filter, huge clearance. I did have to trim my passenger subframe bar a few mm to avoid the header vibrating against it - could have been done in 2 minutes but I chose to take off the subframe bar to trim it - to avoid slipping with the grinder and destroying my new headers. Quality: Very impressive. Frankly i've never owned an exhaust part with welds this nice. The whole thing just looks and feels like a quality part, uppipe and header. Bottom line, this thing is nice! Sound: The sound is not hugely different than the stock manifold, which is a plus for me. A bit more aggressive perhaps, but not loud at all. The first start was drama-free when it comes to sound. Performance: Still need to re-tune the car, but even untuned the car feels quicker to get going. On my first drive I was really satisfied, beyond my expectations (which were not high to be fair, it's a header not a big turbo). Since then, on an average drive, the butt dyno can tell the difference once the headers really get warm - almost sure that's not my imagination. Overall - Very satisfied with these Tomei headers. Great result for me so far and I love the overall quality
I tapered off the ports to flow even better, but even without that being done they flow immensely better than stock and have a gorgeous collector design. Very anxious to hear the difference when paired with a new turboback as well!!

A: This header will bolt to your heads, but nothing behind the header would match up. It would need to be a custom made exhaust from header back.

A: No, this is meant for the older EJ25 motors, and will not work on your 2016 Forester. We do not have any headers that fit your Forester at this time.
