What size of bolt as well as the length of the bolt would be used to be able to fit on the rear of my 2012 wrx sedan would u suggest?

A: It looks like the stock rear tow hook uses an M16x1.5 thread pitch. That should get the ball rolling.

A: You will need to use hardware to secure the strap to your car. Hardware up to 7/16 or max 12 mm bolt can be used.
