Description

To suit 24mm diameter sway bars - the DIY (Do It Yourself) alloy lateral locking system can be utilized on both factory and more importantly aftermarket sway bars. The locks are easily installed on car with no need to remove the sway bar to install . They are mounted directly next to the sway bar mounting points and prevent shifting or sideways movement of the sway bar under lateral (cornering) loads. This results in improved sway bar effectiveness whilst preventing fouling of the sway bar on nearby chassis and steering components.

These do what they say. Nice fit, easy to install. I put these on when I installed new 24mm sway bars

  • Q: Will this fit Cobb 25mm sway bar?  jshaw600023736 4 years ago

    Answer

I have the Cobb front and rear sway bars. They measure 25mm in diameter. Will this fit the sway bar since it doesn't necessarily have to clamp completely closed?

    • A: It has to be exact. If its not exact you cant clamp down correctly and can loose the collar

    • A: I just called Whiteline and it appears the KLL127 (27mm) lateral lock kit fits bars from 25-27mm.

  • Q: Addition?  DSC4WRX 4 years ago

    Answer

Do these come with the Whiteline front and rear sway bars or do we have to order these separately?

    • A: These lateral locks come with almost all front Whiteline sway bars and most rear Whiteline sway bars. If lateral locks are not shown in the pictures, then they are not included.

    • A: Thanks Zach. I'm looking through the Whiteline rear sway bars and I'm not seeing these on any of the pictures. I see something that is already on the bar itself; is that the lateral lock for the rear? Do the locks for the front and the rear look different?

      DSC4WRX 4 years ago
    • A: What you are seeing installed on the bar is the older style of lateral locks and those have since been updated to this style of aluminum lateral locks. The front and rear lateral locks are now the same design.

  • Q: Question about item  joberk89 5 years ago

    Answer

Hey, I currently have an adjustable 24-27mm rsb by Whiteline. However upon turning into driveway or small steering input, I can hear a clank/clunk coming from the rear sway area that wasn't present before. I currently have Kartboy rear endlinks and the whiteline forged alum sway bar 24mm mounts. Would purchasing this item stop the noise? I don't have any issues with clearance with the rsb and have it set on the softest setting.

    • A: These lateral locks may help with the clunking issue you are having, but I strongly recommend having your car diagnosed before adding or replacing components.

      Zach G. 5 years ago
    • A: I had the same problem with my front, make sure the sway bar is installed correctly, mine was upside down. Also make sure the endlinks are perpendicular to the ground.

    • A: If you can, jack the car up and pull that bar off, regrease the D- bracket bushings and reinstall. I live in an area with snow and road salt and I usually have to do this once a year. Once those bushings dry out and a little grime gets in those your gonna hear some popping just like your hearing. Pretty common.

    • A: Also ensure that your endlinks bolts are tight as crap, the torque specs for endlink bolts is crazy high and even the slightest amount of play will have them making all sorts of popping noises every time the cars weight shifts during corning.

      ClayHartsook67839 5 years ago
    • A: I would think that the clunking would be caused by the endlinks not being torqued down to specifications. Make sure that the nuts are tightened down to 35-40 ftlbs at the endlink to sway connection points and the endlink to chassis connections points.

    Answer

would you use these lock kits on the front and rear sway bars

    • A: These can be used for both, the front and the rear sway bar measuring 24mm in diameter. Thanks!
