Features & Product Details
When it comes to aftermarket intake systems, the Cobb Tuning SF Intake has been the popular choice among car enthusiasts worldwide. Here you have a product made with superior fabrication that will add horsepower, torque, and improve overall performance.
The factory intake system is a fairly restrictive design that only allows the turbo to breathe so much air which jails a lot of performance. The Cobb Tuning SF Intake will allow the turbo to inhale a substantial amount of air compared to the factory system. The airbox is designed to replace the factory airbox to protect the intake from warm engine components, and protect the intake from getting a heated intake charge.
Included with the SF intake will be the required hose, hardware, and bracket needed to complete the installation.

Slapped this on my pro tuned cobb stage 2 2004 wrx wagon daily driver and I was rewarded with ALL those fun turbo sounds we love. My tiny td04 sounds MEAN spooling, and I can finally hear the bypass valve Pssshhhhh. I should have installed this Years ago. My tuner assured me no touch up tune was needed, and intake temps plummet as soon as I start driving. I am happy with this product
was previously using the Cosworth High Flow Air Intake System which was amazing and had really solid parts and components but I was enticed by this setup because of the box which tidy up the engine bay area and make things look more sleek. Performance wise: The Cosworth Air Intake setup seems to provide better performance throughout the entire mid-high end and the sound was much louder than this Cobb Air Intake. Quality: Both feels good in quality but the Cosworth one came aluminium hose while Cobb uses a silicone hose. Not sure about performance difference for the aluminium vs silicon issue but in terms of durability, the cosworth one is definitely going to out-last the cobb silicons intake hose for sure! Still, i’m sticking to the Cobb because of the beautiful aluminium box. 😄

Q: Bracket Kinstadt4 years ago
Is it ok if i don't attach the bracket to the filter? For some reason it doesn't seem to be lining up properly

A: We highly recommend installing the bracket, as it will keep the intake move moving around during acceleration.. which can cause the filter to "crush" into the engine bay.

A: I would recommend getting a tune after installing this, especially if the vehicle already has other modifications or an existing aftermarket tune.

Q: Differences? StarryBoar5 years ago
What is the difference between this one and part number COB 712300? I see this one has a silicone hose and a grey filter but thats it visually. What are the other differences? Thanks RSD.

A: The difference is this kit includes the Post MAF Hose. COB 712300 shows the blue filter, as it's the older style Cobb had where the oil was blue. So the newer one's have the grey filter, since the oil is now clear.
