Perfect fit to remarks axleback 27 days ago
    4out of 5stars

I picked up remarks axleback deletes for a 2017 sti which sounded great. I added in a cat-less downpipe which on first startup it instantly was known was a mistake and made an sti sound nothing like a Subaru. More like an angry Honda with loose heat shields. I previously had an 04 sti which had the exact same setup yet sounded nothing like this monster. With no back pressure or resonator, boost creep was manageable at 18.4 psi yet with more mods to come and no desire to go external WG or porting the WG had to be dealt with. So I slowly began replacing components. Invidia high flow catted downpipe was first. Less raspy yet still obnoxious. Then PLM came to the rescue of the community. A Simple resonated pipe at a very affordable price was the answer to my woes. It mates up perfect to the remark and invidia sides. A surprisingly high quality pipe for the price. Good welds and a nice finish. The box came with a hole In it courteously of UPS no doubt and only one bolt remained but when hand threading the nut onto the bolt you can tell the nut or bolt isn’t very close tolerance. It wobbles on the threads almost like a SAE vs metric combo would. I wouldn’t use it. So the missing bolts are irrelevant. Reuse your own hardware. The gaskets are standard aftermarket shiny cardboard/metal and fit fine but may want to upgrade those as well. Straight forward install just like any other pipe you’ve installed. Metallic, angry Honda raspy non-boxer motor sound..gone. TL;DR-good pipe, worth the price, takes the raspy sound out of a straight piped system and fits perfect to remarks axleback, reuse your hardware. Lack of decent hardware could prove a headache for some people but being the lowest price piece of equipment in the purchase, not a deal breaker whatsoever. Makes a subie sound like a subie again

    QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

    • Q: Will this fix my drone  DM3 months ago

I added subispead axelback have some noise at around 75-80mph. Adding this will drone go away/get better. Also will I need a tune?
      • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This should help lower the exhaust sound level due to the larger resonator. It will not require a tune.

    • Q: 2020 wrx   Jose3 months ago

Will this work on my 2020 with Cobb catless J pipe with factory Ypipe and Blox axle back? Car is crazy loud and I love to quiet it down some.
      • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This part was designed to work with stock, or stock style components. So it will bolt to the factory y-pipe, and it should bolt to the Cobb j-pipe which is designed to bolt to the factory catback.

Will this fit on the invidia n1 exhaust and is this pipe 3 inch?
      • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This is 3" piping, but we can not confirm fitment with an Invidia exhaust as we have not tested it ourselves.

I AM LOOKING TO COMPLETE MY CAT BACK WITH MY CURRENT MUFFLER (NAMELESS) . IS THIS PART I AM LOOKING FOR?
      • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This is meant for the 2015+ WRX and STI, and it likely would not work with your Forester.

    • Q: Fitment question   Tyler8 months ago

Hi. I have a 2017 WRX with a PLM catless j pipe and a nameless axle back. The car is insanely loud. I’m looking to add a resonator without welding. Will this product work and bolt directly on?
      • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  If you still have the stock exhaust from the j-pipe to the axle back, then I don't believe this will fit. You will probably need Part #NAMRSPD039 for a direct bolt on with your setup.
