Features & Product Details
RallySport Direct proudly carries a great selection of genuine Subaru OEM components to allow the enthusiast to perform their performance and OEM shopping all in one location.
This is the Subaru OEM cabin air filter. The purpose of this filter is to trap any outside dust or dirt elements from entering the cabin of your vehicle while using your climate control to provide the freshest air possible. This filter is often overlooked while performing regular maintenance, and a clogged cabin filter could affect the efficiency of your climate control if gone unchanged.

Exactly as you'd expect for fit/finish - I know it's not a terribly exciting thing to replace, but it's definitely needed..often sooner than you think.
If Shia Labeouf was your mechanic, he would clinch 2 cabin filters in his hands, and with a swift Hulk motion he would yell JUST DO IT!!!!! listen to Shia, what are you waiting for?
perfect fit on my 2006 Subaru WRX. Take out the glove box and you will see the area where this gets secured. Most people don't even know they have a pollen filter for their cabin. I switched mine out in May 2014 and I'm guessing it was the first time it was ever done, piles of dirt were on the filter and that's the filter that filters ALL the air coming straight at your face. 15 minute job at the most.
Was a genuine Subaru filter. Here is old vs the new one. If your car has a cabin air filter then why not save a few bucks and change it out yourself. Install is very easy maybe 10 minutes. STI owners be careful when removing glove box as the DCCD controller is mounted to the back of the glove box. If you take out the screws holding the controller in then it will be a pain getting it back on.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q: Do I need it? BoostBum8 years agoIf my car has the spot for one does that mean my car is equipped for one? I went to look at mine and there wasn't one in the little air box thing so I wasn't sure if I needed it or not.

A: If you have a spot for a filter then this would fit. Best thing to do is call your local dealer as they can tell you by the VIN if your car should have one or not.Kirill C. @ RallySport Direct 8 years ago
