The instructions are available online. They are very helpful. The Mele recommended orientation was 90 degrees rotated from factory and for my 2007 STi it was not one that would allow the factory battery cables to reach the new placement. I instead oriented the box to use the holes in the chassis for the factory battery terminal orientation. The aluminum box is solid as is the mounting hardware. The Mele battery mount fit my PC680 Odyssey battery snug with the included weather stripping.
