So while the fit for install was as good as it could get, I would have liked the inch of height above the floor surface removed. I may get it modified to lower it.
While I am the idiot who decided to modify this bracket to fit a stock evo seat in his 02 WRX, I honestly cannot believe how perfect the fitment was. It did not need to be bent in any way and fit PERFECTLY! The location of the seat belt mount also worked out well for my height.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q: Height compared to stock Greg2 years agoI need to lower the seats in my '99 2.5RS so my head does not hit the headliner while wearing my helmet. I am looking at this base with a Sparco R100 (need to retain factory seatbelt for now) and a Sparco slider but I cannot find measurements for the height of any of these components (especially the seat base and the thickness of the R100 seat cushion). Will this combination be lower than stock and, if so, by how much? Thanks!

A: Unfortunately I couldn't find this seat base to take measurements. I did measure the R100 seat though, the highest bolster on the base, is about 7 inches from the table I was measuring on, and the seat cushion was 4 inches from base. That 4 inches stays pretty consistent the whole seat. Once you factor in body weight, I would think you would be about 3 inches or so off the top of whatever base you're setting the seat on.Lane H. @ RallySport Direct 2 years ago
