Features & Product Details

RallySport Direct is proud to carry the SPEED BLEEDER to make life easier for those of you who frequently change brake fluids on your track, or street vehicle. The SPEED BLEEDER has been designed with a built-in check valve. How this works, is that the next time you bleed your brakes, you will loosen the SPEED BLEEDER by 1/4 of a turn and then you pump your brake pedal.  When the pedal is depressed, the pressure generated will open the check valve letting air and brake fluid out of the SPEED BLEEDER. When you let go of the brake pedal and return it to the up position, the check valve will close and prevent air from entering back into the system

When you are finished bleeding, simply tighten back the SPEED BLEEDER screw to prevent any more fluid from leaving.

Worked perfectly on my 2014 STI. TAKE YOUR TIME AND DO NOT STRIP THE THREADS! So much better for bleeding the calipers. Also little tip, while changing them out, have a spray bottle of soapy warm water to spray the calipers with. Brake fluid will leak all over the calipers while you do this and you do not want the brake fluid to ruin the finish on your calipers. 2X bleeders needed per caliper (8X for the 2014 STI). Good idea to replace as some of my old ones were pretty corroded!

These things are very simple and should be installed on each caliper on your car to replace the stock ones. It's a no brainer how easy it makes it to bleed. For an STi you'll need a total of 8. Be very careful not to over torque when installing. They don't seat flush onto the caliper and that's ok. Take your old one out and run the new one in quickly to keep fluid from leaking out. After it's run all the way down and torqued up you can put whatever bleeder tube you are going to use on the top and then back out the bleed screw a half turn. Sit in your car and just pump away. Go back to the caliper and torque up the bleeder screw. Go to the next and repeat. Super simple and easy. Leaves no mess. If you like to work alone these are for you. I also removed the old rubber caps and I used the new caps provided. They fit better. See the photo I included. It shows the gap you'll have from the bleed screw to the caliper after properly torqued. Also you can see the new rubber cap.

Excellent Product, Take Care When Installing 6 years ago

Definitely start these by hand as far as you can before you go at them with a wrench. They may start of being difficult because of the sealant on the threads, so make sure the threads are clean before install. And do not be surprised if some of the sealant starts coming off as you are torquing them down. As careful as I was, the sealant still came off. If at all possible, get yourself a torque wrench and tighten them to 20Nm. This is the Subaru specification from the service manual (not sure about the Mitsubishi spec). This is the best way I found to make sure you do not strip the threads. I also made the mistake of not double checking the tightness on the bleeders before I started the bleeding process and I ended up spilling brake fluid everywhere. Always double check the tightness. Other than the sealant on the threads, the product is great. It made bleeding extremely easy and saved a good amount of time versus using conventional bleeders.

They work great. And I had no issues with anything stripping like others are saying. Be careful when installing and your good. Don't forget sti's with brembos need 8 of these.

    QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

    • Q: 2017+ BRZ Brembos  David1 year ago

Will these fit on 2017+ BRZ Brembos? They share the same pads as the previous gen STi and Evo's.
    • Q: Rear brembos  jonathon.griffith12073672 years ago

Will this kit work with the rear brakes on a 2004 sti also? I believe that they are the same thread pattern I just want to make sure.

A:  You bet, these will be a direct replacement for your stock bleeders. Just remember to grab 2 per caliper for a complete set :)

    • Q: will these work on the 2015 STI brembos?  Mrluvshack2 years ago

I noticed these were not listed for the 2015 Brembos, but I don't recall the brembo caliper changing style for the 2015. Can you explain if the bleed valve design has changed? If not, I want to order these to replace all my valves.
      • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  I do not believe that these will work for you. I believe that the fittings on the 2015+ Brembos have changed.

A:  Subaru lists the same exact part number for the stock bleed screws for '04 through '17 STIs, so these SHOULD fit. I just bought 8 and will be trying them out on my 2016 STI. I will report back here.
