can this be used with other lightweight flywheels that aren't ACT?

A: Certain clutch makers, including ACT, will have variances in pressure plate and flywheel diameter on certain kits. It's recommended to match this with ACT's flywheel to ensure proper fitment.

Q: Which Clutch JBauer2013WRX5 years ago
2013 WRX that currently has 329 HP and 354 Lb/Ft. Future upgrades are a bigger turbo and a header. This is a daily driver but I need a clutch that will be able to handle the extra HP and TQ for the upgrades coming up. Any recommendations?

A: It would depend on which turbo you were planning on going with, but this clutch would likely work well with your application. As a general rule though, puck clutches will be trickier to drive than a traditional full face.

Q: Will this clutch fit? jimbow917 years ago
I have a 2010 subaru legacy gt. And about to be doing some upgrades and I'm sure I will bypass the capabilities of the oem clutch but in the description it shows that this one only goes to year 2009 even tho it showed up in the search for a 2010 so I wanted to ask and make sure

A: This clutch is confirmed to fit your 2010 2.5GT. I only recommend using this clutch on track/auto-x cars as it will be very harsh for everyday use on a street car. I recommend part # ACT SB5-HDSS for a street car.

Q: 2006 Forester XT CodyXT8 years ago
The product description for ACT SB5-HDG6 says I must use a 2006-2014 WRX flywheel for my XT. Can I use the ACT 600480? The description of that flywheel says it does not fit my vehicle. What would you recommend? I don't really want to go with the pro-lite for the street.

A: If you use this clutch along with ACT 600480 it will work fine for your application.

Q: reverse? Stando8 years ago
I've noticed a LOT of vibration and difficulty when reversing. Is this typical for this type of clutch or does it sound like another issue?

A: Puck style clutches are known to have rough engagement. This is amplified in reverse due to the straight cut reverse gear.

Q: Daily driver question rwbebe3096510 years ago
I have an 08 WRX that is sitting at 340 WHP that i am currently using as a daily driver...... because it is awesome.... I am currently using the Exedy stage 2 ceremetallic disc clutch and am wondering if this is going to be harder or easier to drive with as a DD. Thanks

A: This clutch is rated at 535 ft/lb of Torque at the crank so it will definitely be enough for your vehicle. In terms of driveability depending on which Stage 2 Exedy disc you are using this could be very similar in driveability for the street.

A: Yes, on the WRX it would work on the OEM flywheel, however with a clutch this aggressive, I personally feel a lightweight flywheel would greatly compliment this clutch. Thanks.
