If you want a clutch that'll destroy your car and leave you sitting, this clutch is for you. Also, replace your pivot, seems to be a weak link for subys.
I bought my car with this bad boy already installed. I actually LEARNED to drive stick on this thing and it wasn't all that bad. The clutch pedal is REALLY heavy and it grabs REALLY hard. It's very easy to get used to and once you do, you will have no issues with this clutch. Holds every bit of power and launches very well. My only complaint is that is chatters more than my mother-in-law after 3 glasses of wine. It's a great clutch though.
After my stock clutch started slipping at 300whp/310tq I had to upgrade. At first I was very skeptical about getting a stage 3 clutch for daily driving. The first 200 miles was rough getting used to and aggressive clutch. But after the recommended 300 mile break in period it feels great. Pedal feel is very much like the stock clutch. The release point is early but still very driver friendly. The clutch grabs hard and strong and you can feel the difference with the lightweight flywheel. I strongly recommend this clutch kit and would buy it again.
I have had this on my 6 Speed 05 WRX for 1500 miles now. The first 500 mile during break in the clutch pedal was heavy and had a hard bite. Now that it is broke in. The pedal is only slightly heaver over stock. Good engagement a little noisy but clutch bites hard and holds. Car is making 403/365 and I daily it. The 60ft dropped from a 2.0 to a 1.8 Overall I real this clutch was the perfect fit.
Description states it'll hold around 5xx wheel torque.. now around 18k miles on the clutch and a new tune set around 380ish wheel torque and the clutch is now slipping under boost or moderate load. Guess it's time to find another clutch, hopefully the next one won't disappoint me.

Q: Competition stage 3 clutch sam6 months ago
So far I am very disappointed with this clutch. so I bought this kit for my 2006 legacy gt. currently I have 510 miles on the clutch and it is impossible to get into first and reverse. I've bled the hydraulic system. Replaced the fork, pivot ball, supplied throw out bearing, and spring clip for the throw out bearing before I installed the clutch kit. my transmission worked flawlessly before this clutch. The oem spec for clutch pedal travel is 5.3 inches to 5.5 inches and if I max out the push rod on the master I only get 5.1 inches of travel and the release is at the top off the pedal. why can I not get in to first or reverse with out forcing it? I called competition and they said that this has been a problem and is no remedy at this time. so it sounds like to me this clutch wasn't even designed right. Competition said an oem clutch kit messured 230mm in depth and this kit is 250mm in depth all stacked up Also if you look at the same clutch that doesn't come with a flywheel it says to use a 2006-2014 wrx flywheel which is what im assuming came with the kit since it specifies it will fit a 2014 wrx.

Q: Will this work? 01eggy109 months ago
I am working on 2014 wrx to make 600hp at crank. I am not sure on torque it would make, so I was wondering if this would be sufficient? Also would the Stage 2 Clutch work too?

A: This would be a good option for your setup, although Comp's stage 2 that is rated at 450 wtq would also work well.

Q: ACT flywheel? 09Jorge1 year ago
Will a different flywheel like the ACT street flywheel fit with this clutch?

A: No, it will not. Competition Clutch and ACT do not confirm their parts to work together.
