  • Spring retainers utilize wraparound spring windows and thicker retainer stampings to provide spring support
  • Spring-centered race disc engagement is harsher but provides faster shifts

    I bought a 6 puck clutch last year and put it in around mid july. i put just under 30k miles on the clutch and my wrx makes right around 400hp to the wheel. The problem is that the clutch is starting to go and is slippinng in 5th

      I have the SB11-HDG6 ACT Heavy Duty Race Sprung 6 Pad Clutch Kit w/ Streetlite Flywheel on my WRX 5-spd. I'm upgrading my transmission to an STI 6-spd. Will the Streetlite Flywheel from SB11-HDG6 be compatible to use with this ACTSB10-HDG6 clutch?

      Will this disc and pressure plate work with a oem flywheel? As well as work with another brand flywheel....example, a Competition light weight

        A:  This can work with your OEM flywheel. We cannot confirm the fitment for other brand flywheels as they do sometimes not join properly. But OEM flywheel is listed as compatible.

      I'm hoping with the mods I'm putting on my car I will be 400+ lbs of torque, I would also be driving this car daily, does normal driving have any increase wear on this clutch? And is stock flywheel going to be best option, thank you

        A:  Typically a 6 puck clutch is not ideal for daily driving, it is usually better for the track and racing. I would recommend a full face clutch for daily driving, and the stock flywheel is fine to use.

        A:  For a daily driver with the amount of power you are producing . I would suggest running the SB10-XTSS this kit will have great pedal modulation with a solid engagement perfect for a performance daily driver. the SB10-XTSS kit will hold 565 ft-lbs of torque at the crank. Both of these kits will work well with either the OEM or the ACT flywheel. Daily driving a clutch with a puck style disc will have a severely shorter life than running a full face organic disc.         A:  We do not have the ability to confirm or guarantee this unit to fit with JDM vehicles, but with the similarities it is likely this will fit.

      What kind of power will this hold my clutch is starting to slip and am looking for a good upgrade was thinking about going to a stage 2 but not sure what to get

        A:  This clutch kit is rated for 660 ft lbs at the crank, which is approximately 500 ft lbs measured at the wheels. Which clutch you should use depends on the amount of power you are making and use of the car. Please contact us for more information.
